Ended horribly. Way to ruin a good series.

The cancellations @ HBO tomorrow will be incredible. They dragged 8 years of subscription out of me, but when they cancelled Deadwood and this F'ed up Sopranos ending... buh buy.

Some people I've talked to think the cut to black was supposed to represent Tony getting offed. They back this up with what Tony said to Bobby earlier in the season: "WHEN YOU GET IT, YOU DON'T EVEN SEE IT COMING"

I dont buy it but its an interesting theory.

What did her parking job have to do with anything?? I kept thinking she was either gonna get shot or run over while crossing the street.

Yeah at first I thought my cable went out. I agree it didn't end well. As always, too many loose ends. Did Tony get wacked by NY?, did Meadow get hit by a car crossing the street?, did Dr. Melfi show up and off Tony?, did the Russian guy from the Pine Barrens show up (from like 3 years ago when Paulie and Christopher ate packets of ketchup overnight in a van), etc. etc. I love this show but they always end stuff like this. They are leaving it up to us to decide how it ended.

Interesting indeed, but doesn't make sense to me. It went blank when we were looking at Tony (that theory would mean we were off'ed). Also, Meadow was the only one entering to restaurant when you heard the bell ring. Maybe that guy came out of the bathroom and put one in the back of his head??

Also, last lirics were "don't stop". Sounds like movie to me, but, maybe we'll get a clear interpretation from the creator now that it's over, but I doubt it. They like to keep their options open.

I thought the ending was on par. The show was essentially about family. Not the "family" as in the mob but Tony's family and how they deal day to day. The ending showed the family settling back into an almost normal American family lifestyle. Eating out, everyone taking their own cars because they all have busy schedules much like my own. Meadow being a piss poor driver, why didn't some one buy her the Lexas that parks itself. AJ falling back in to the norm, a new M3 sure helps. Great show, good ending, I wish the series could have kept going.

edit....that strange guy was just there to get some food and use the bathroom. Everytime someone walked in the bell went off. He is probably looking at Tony because it's rare to run into a mob boss and his entire family in some little fast food joint.

that was so funny when Paulie and Chris spent the night in the van. Paulie lost his shoe and really thought they were going to die. His character was great.

We have a new winner!

The previous worse series finale was Seinfeld.

No more, the Sopranos has taken their place and has set the bar on how to profoundly disappoint even the most hardcore, dedicated and ardent fans.

Last season blew goats, and after waiting 22 months for it, which, coincidently, is the same amount of time that elephants gestate, I expected a lot more. This season did little to repair that damage and that lame azz ending was just an excuse to not make a decision and call it art.

And if one more pseudo-intellectual, like Matt Lauer on the Today show this morning, tells me that if I don't get the ending then I'm not smart enough to understand it, then I'm gonna use them as kindling to set HBO corporate offices on fire :D !

Other than that Mrs. Lincoln, how did enjoy the rest of the play...
