Pete M. Gladysz, manager-SRT Powertrain, says a typical powertrain development cycle for an SRT product is about 24 months, as opposed to 48 months in a conventional production-vehicle development program. He also says sometimes meager funding has SRT powertrain engineers searching for innovative solutions.

Anyone in FL can verify this?

Hi,

I'm the lead developer for SCT. I hope this isn't considered spam. We will be releasing flash hardware and tuning software for Dodge/Chrysler in about a month, and the NCG3 PCM is covered. If you don't know who SCT is, ask one of your Ford friends. All of the technical and marketing details aren't nailed down yet, but the bottom line is you will be able to get your vehicle tuned to work correctly with other upgrades. You turned up the boost? Then you need more fuel AND less spark, not just an extra shot of fuel. Of course you can tweak a purely stock vehicle too, if you want too.

From the Ford side I know how frustrating it is not being able to retune for even minor modifictions. Now you'll be able too.

If this post is considered spam I apologize. I thought you'd like to know that a good tuning solution will be available very soon.

Dave speaks the truth on this issue I believe. For those who have not read these, here's a little history on the subject from almost a year ago.

Soon...a month....whenever....I guess the efforts go on. To me the most interesting, informed, reading regarding the "brains" of our trucks is the current "reverse engineering" being performed by you know who. :D

And the beat goes on...........
