Hey, I remember a little while back you posted an under-the-hood picture of your SRT8 and I noticed that you had your Volant intake tube wrapped in something. I assume it is to prevent the tube from getting hot. What exactly did you wrap it in becasue I really liked how it looked and I want to do it myself. I have been looking forever and can't find it! Hey!! Yeah I wrapped my intake tube in Header Wrap. A local speed shop owner recommended wrapping it to help keep the cool air inside the tube from experiencing heat soak. I know there are many schools of thought for thiss, since the air in the tube is only around for miliseconds before entering the intake manifold.

On the other site, a big debate erupted over the effectiveness of this setup. Many said it would only function to keep hot air inside the tube warm....others said it would do nothing.

I'm no engineer, so I can't comment one way or the other. I can say...it makes the tube LOOK cool. :) And it only cost like $15.

BTW I would give up a testicle to own that monster GTI.....

Hello Has anybody found the post on the intake wrap I saw a picture with itstalled too and a picture of the wrap to get .A little help, I have search the engine to death could not find.
