How will a differential kits have to do with this, do you mean like new gears, thats n t goin to change it enough to help? Just get a Vortech, magnacharger, whipple=problem solved or a better tune shouldnt be lossing to the cars you mentioned. Do you kno how to role race?

ure gonna lose ever roll race if ure racing from a dead spot, i almost always drop it manually, with the exception of a 20 mph roll which the jeep does perfectly without any help..

get a trinity or predator and get a good tune... then different story.... wanna embarass them, go vortech or magnacharger

Get a new Cam, that will help your top end as well.

Get a tune....big difference.

I use to pimp slap lightly modded bolt-on f-bodies (LT1 & LS1, M6's) on the highway from slow rolls with just intake and tune. I'd hate to see what'd I'd do to those same cars now. I'm more in "stock 2011 5.0" roll racing territory now.

Just an FYI...... you ever try to play lawn darts with umbrellas?....Doesn't fly through the air that well does it. Now you understand that game's foolish real-world equivalent...roll racing a 5,000 lb barn on wheels.

What are your mods? I raced two 350 or might have been 370z on the highway and passed them up like they were standing still from about 70 to 130 mph. Then I scared the crap out of a Porsche as well that could not hang. Have raced C5' s as well no competition for the Beast.

Had my first real race on the highway with a modded G35(Cam, heads etc..), started from 75, went to 145 and was eating his bumper, couldnt pass because off traffic. You should have no problem with 370 and especially a 4 cyl S2k..

It weighs 5K and has the aerodynamics of a barn door. What do you expect at highway speeds?!?!

If you want to "race" on the highway buy a ricer or LS1 car. The money you save by buying these can be used towards your bond.

< dead even with my buddy's 335xi with 3 people in my car from a roll on the highway. I'm intake tune exhaust only. he had a turbo back exhaust... but racing from a roll is lame IMO

For 1 thing im not going to race some dork that is 1500 lbs lighter and has 30 less hp from a dam roll lol. I told a guy 1 time after he played with me for a couple of lights then said you really want to do this he said sure i said ok and then showed him his 434 hp stang how the cow ate the cabbage. The he says ok how about from a roll i said ok as soon as you put 1500 lbs in the trunk then we can do any roll you want lol.

I raced a g37S on the highway and beat him and I'm stock. He promptly gave the wave and flash of the head lights in admiration.
So maybe you're racing some tuned cars as well. I'd rather do "slow" racing than high speed racing anyday anyway. You always get some Soccer Mom in a Volvo or Mini Van that likes to pull over into the fast lane, because they felt like it when they had no one to pass! Or you get some chick texting her friend what she is wearing as she drifts into the fast lane.
Sorry about the rant...I'm done!

The only way to make a brick into a freght train on the highway is with serious power adders. If you want to stay N/A, you'r only hope is a cammed 426 with the full-monty of bolt-ons. Otherwise, you have to go Forced Induction/Nitrous to even begin to compare to MUCH lighter cars with top-end power bands. And even if you do go full-bore with a N/A stoker, your jeep will die quickly at 140mph around the 4-5 shift.

The otherwise stock jeep, like yours, does have certain sweet spots where you will have better performance from a roll. If it is able to downshift to the proper RPM, in the proper GEAR, then you'll get a good kick, if its not in one of these sweet spots, if will perform like a bloated pig.

The only top-end performers on this forum are turbos and superchargers on top of stroked purpose-built engines to handle the power, and a miniumum of $7500 in drivetrain mods to prevent breakage.

Welcome to the suck.

Can you please elaborate on a "if you do go full-bore with a N/A stoker, your jeep will die quickly at 140mph around the 4-5 shift. " ? Die meaning what? Stop accelerating? Accelerate slower than stock? In other words, what will happen at 140mph? I am assuming you are talking about a 440 stroker.

I think what Winston is saying is that with a 426/440 Stroker running N/A its going to lose its steam at 140 mph in a brick Jeep..0-140 will pull like crazy but once it clicks into 5th gear it might get lazy.

Running a turbo or a supercharger you will be making peak boost at those speeds and will pull like a mutha!

other good highway runs

and this one, my mustang was not the fastest but as you can see he keeps pulling up top on me and my cams are for higher rpm action. granted i did not have a tune during these races.

im going to have to agree with mklaus as well hahaha. but come on you can't expect a 5000 pound SUV to accelerate like a sports car from 60 mph. I went up against a worked turbo'd altima the other day from about 45 and crushed the thing haha
