Just like the title says, I just got off the phone with Don. I put my deposite down and did a prelim credit check. I won't be financing through him but it is a new policy they have in place to make sure people acutally have the funds to purchase the vehicle.

I am guessing that it will be 3 or more months before she is born, and another month after that...maybe more :eek:

I sold my motorcycle, and gave up on the notion of picking up a GT500 (for my fun car). I needed a work vehicle and this will take care of the fun and work at the same time.

Just so you don't have to ask, I ordered a fully loaded (minus the block heater) black one. I didn't want the DVD, but I wanted the heated rear seats, so I had to get the DVD as it is lumped together in Option Group #2.

Anyways, now I wait...

man...try not to even think about it....which is impossible, trust me I know. I waited just 1 mnth before I was able to get mine, and I almost went crazy...so I feel for you my brother. Once you get it though....it's heaven.
Make sure you chime in as soon as you get it....don't forget the pics!!!

Congrats!!! The wait would kill me. I had a hard time waiting 6 weeks for my 07. It drove me NUTS.

The wait is already killing me and it has only been a few months of me knowing about the SRT8...and just a few minutes after ordering it.

I will be here everyday reading and learning all I can...I already know more about the vehicle than the local dealers do...

OH I ordered it and I havent even test driven it yet...I have been in it a lot looked at it a lot, but never taken her out(the 07 that is).
I am trusting you guys that this is all that and worth it.

The main reason I havent taken one out is I really don't want to be the "other man". The car will be someones baby and I don't like the idea of someone else molesting my high performance vehicle so I don't want to do it to theirs. I don't know if that makes me crazy or not, but that is just how it is.

Thats very honorable of you. I know how you feel. My salesman at my dealership is such a great guy. When my truck rolled off the transport, it had 3 miles on the odometer and he even made the lot guys KEEP it sitting int he middle of an isle, where they unloaded it! LOL He only started it once for me to roll it off the carrier, and again to let my Dad hear it. He left all the plastics on, they didn't even process the car (i.e. put the nav disc in, etc.) He let me do all of it, and I enjoyed every second of it.

yeah, I got mine right after it arrived t the dealer it showed a little less than 3 miles on the od. It was never driven by anyone on any test drives so that is good. There was a red rock I was going to purchase when I first went to the dealer and I test drove it....didn't really floor it or anything because I thought it would be mine, but I did feel the thrust at just 1/4 throttle so you will be very satisfied. The jeep feels way faster than my previous Lightning...before it was modded. So you are doing good by taking our word for it. Check out the latest issue of Automobile magazine if you want so you can see how we fared against our "rivals".
