Hey guys, I just picked up my srt8 jeep about a month ago and I want to lightly mod it, but i need some input. I have already done HIDs and exhaust. I was thinking of going with a bwoody 4" intake next, and maybe a predator tuner. I have also read about the oil catch can, but dont know much about its purpose or difficulty of installation

Im looking at spending $1000 tops right now on a few things. This is my DD so im not looking to get crazy with it... yet, so give me some suggestions on decent starting mods.

Congrats! Where are you located?

Just over a $1000 will get you the bwoody, predator, tune, and catch can. Catch can takes 10 minutes top to install, definitely recommend that!

Catch can is super easy and a must if your gonna tune it, it catches all the contaminants that go into your intake which in turn cause knock. The intake comes down to personal preference as they seem to all perform well AFE, bwoody and Volant seem to be the most popular. You can pick up an intake, predator and get a custom tune for less than $1,000 and be running mid to high 12's in the 1/4 mile.

im in Northern Colorado. looks like alot of guys prefer the bwoody 4", although it seems a bit more expensive than the rest. Im a little worried about the tune, i read a couple of threads where guys were having issues after installing a tune. I dont know much about the oil catch can or its price. how much can I pick one up for and how are they installed. thx for the quick replies!

Definitely X2 on what BOYCHKS and A.V. said. As far as cosmetics go, I would consider buying the shorty antenna (maybe $20) which looks 100xbetter and de-badging it.

Research the billet technology catch can that's the one just about everyone uses, I think it's about $120 powder coated whatever color you want. Look in my sig pic the black "can" with hoses coming out of it is the catch can. The hoses connect to the pcv valve, which is underneath the throttle body, and the metal nipple on top of the intake manifold. As long as the predator is updated you should not have any problems and the guys from diablosport are active members here so it's not any trouble at all to get help with it.
