Today I stopped in at the gas station to pick up some snacks for work, left the beast running. When I came back out there was an older woman picking up a bag of ice, she says "Son, why does your vehicle sounds like its arguing with itself?" LoL!

^^hahaha, that's a good one. The people's words never do it for me, it's always the looks that tickles me. Best one was an Asian gentleman in an R8, we went light to light and when we stopped his jaw was literally on the floor with the look of, "how...what...why...what?"

Aww man..... I've had a BUNCH! Best one probably was the very first day after my cam install when I didn't have my resonators on. Headers, no cats, no resonators, and the PCM was still trying to figure out what to do with the cam. It was loping hard on remote start as I was loading my kids in it. This guy came up to me and said, "This thing sounds PISSED OFF!". I loved it. I had a cop behind me at the car wash the other day. He came up to me and said, "Is that a JEEP?!?!". I get that a lot.

I complimented on a nice WRX to this group of three guys. I then said yes I have a Jeep Srt8 so I agree AWD is the best...

Use to happen to me all the time back in '05/'06 when I first had my WS6 on the road with the TT's. I still hear stories about it to this day...... "Watch out for that pewter T/A, don't race it! That thing has taken down 'Busa's!" LOL I'd chuckle so hard on the inside.

I usually replied, "Yeah, I've heard about that car, the owner is a real a$$hole though....my friends have met him a few times." No lies there! haha.

My neighbor across the street from me who we call captain planet came over one day this summer when I was cleaning out the garage. I had all my cars out: 74 monte, 81 vette, 06 TBSS and the beast!!! Not to mention my 06 HD Sierra work truck. He said "Hey Eskle are all those cars really necessary? and that thing over there." pointing to the jeep. "When are you going to put the muffler back on it?" I just laughed and said that it gets better mileage that way.

I always get comments about the jeep being "a beast" from all the valet guys here in DC. Its funny to watch them drive cause the thing nose dives every time they brake thinking it takes more brake pressure to stop it.....

When I first brought home the beast my then four-year-old son Tyler was EXCITED. He ran up to my wife and said, "Mom, Dad bought a CHURKEY!!"

Recent got a "sweet truck" from a homeless man sleeping in front of a 7-11.

Most random was "Is that the new Pacifica? Looks nice"

Had a guy in a current gen M5 come to a near stand still on a road to ask me about the Jeep. This is after I beat him to about 70 when we let off.

Had a guy in a new Carrera 4 meet me at the light. He was hot dogging so I knew he'd go. Up till 100 we were dead even then we let off. He made sure he stayed behind me from that point and all of a sudden had to make a turn off the road.

anyways, I digress. Have gotten dirty looks from Prius owners and even once parked in a "Hybrid cars only " spot. I figured since the Jeep is part car part animal it was fitting. They didnt get it.

always get, "is that thing stock?" or "i love those rims whered you get em?" The guy at an allsups loves my jeep... every time i walk in he asks "hey hows my jeep doing". one time he asked me just to jump on the gas when i left so he could hear it. Looks are always priceless tho.... one of my co-workers asked me, "it sounds good, so how fast can it go?" i said, "well the speedometer says 180, then she asked, well how fast have you gone? i responded, just 165....but i'm tryin to hit that 180 mark with a few mods. her jaw dropped and she looked at me like i was crazy.

I've gotten everything from..." damn that's a Jeep? " to " it stands like a pitbull waiting to pounce on a steak!" I've had kids say it looks like a Decepticon transformer!

As several other of you guys have said, I've gotten lots of comments about the wheels (though I have the black inserts, so they def. don't look stock).

Lots of folks have said it looks mean.

Took it to the dragstrip one night and a teenager said that watching me crush whatever it was that next to me was the highlight of the night (completing dismissing the mini-dragsters and the full on drag racing cars!).

On two recent trips to the dragstrip, I have overheard bystanders talking about my Jeep and both said "Oh this is the new Grand Cherokee, check it out." i have had at least three other people ask me if mine is the new model Grand Cherokee (they had seen the TV commercial and though mine is just a 2011 GC). Strange.

A year ago when I had tires put on and the front end aligned, the tech test drove it and took forever to come back. He said when he made a turn-a-round and headed back for the shop a guy ran into the middle of the road and flagged him down. He thought maybe an emergency in the guys house. After he stopped, the guy walked around to the window and said he had to know what kind of vehicle that is.

But, the best one was last night. I swapped with my wife yesterday because my left front tire was into the cord. No comments
She drives 10 miles round trip and I drive about 100 per day. My new tires were not due in until tomorrow.
She came home giving me a few choice words. She works for our church. She said as she left the church at lunch and turned onto 3rd street in Jacksonville Beach some cars were coming. So she gave it a little gas (she drives a 6 cly Sebring Convertible).
It went sideways in the middle of 3rd St. and she slammed on brakes at a 90 degree angle. The cars backed up while she got her composure and tried to straighten out in the road.
She wanted to know why I did not warn her. I told her with a bad tire she should not have been going to lunch.
She may work for a church but she was not a happy camper last night.

got a new one this morning coming thru the gate to work.... young female security guard, " man i heard that thing coming, it sounds like you got a monster or somethin under there" lol.... i wish i could record these things!

Meter maid for a parking ticket couldn't figure out it was a Jeep.

I've gotten the occasional, "What the hell is that??" both the stare and question haha but the best was when i got pulled over...
Cop was a real ******* seeing as he gave me the lamest ticket ever but he even had the balls to ask if he could drive it after giving me the ticket..i quickly said no...maybe he would have had a better chance if he hadnt given me that ticket yet haha

HAHA these are some pretty good ones, I probably get about 4 compliments on my jeep a day at the least... All my friends call it the Soccer Mom SUV or The Mini Van haha. Actually had some crazy comments on it lately but cant think of them at the moment. Id say my Favorite is when my buddy in his new 5.0 and I were at the track last sunday and it was nearing the end of the day when i saw an EVO parked on the side with the hood up. I really wanted to see what i could go up againt on it so i waited until i saw the owner lower the hood and get in. So i jumped in mine and started down the lane to the track when i looked back the EVO stopped at my buddies ride and asked if he wanted to race, My buddy pointed down to me and said "I think he wants to run you" and he looked down and saw the jeep and rolled his eyes saying "WHAT that thing HAHA yea ok ill run him but you want to race when i get back?" Well we both raced down the track and i put a full second on the guy and needless to say he left after that run haha.

Had a guys in a Prius, in the parking lot where I drop my daughter off for school, tell me that if I ever needed someone to blow the built-up carbon out of my Jeep, just guve him a call!

Had a co-worker ask me to let him drive the JEEP to feel how it accelerates. So I let him do two launches with me in the passenger seat of course. He couldn't believe how quick it is...."This thing is brutal" he said. The funny thing is, he owns a Cayenne S.

Anywho, I've only had it a week, and everyone asks about the wheels/tires. Then someone asked me what HID kit I had, and where I got the back-up camera installed.
The service manager @ the Greenbriar Dodge commented on how clean it was. His guys were harassing him saying how it could beat his vette. I let them have their fun and didn't contribute to the bashing.
The general manager @ Greenbiar Jeep said, "wow! those are rare, and that one's in really good shape. (as him and his guys walked around it) Hold on to it & take care of it."
And of course... my friend Tim who had a billet built TT 04' Mustang GT until last year said, "let's take it for a spin and see how it compares to the ole' stang"
I just flipped him the bird with a smirk while telling him that my tires lasted longer.:rolleyes:

I went to fill up last week and there was a guy there and he says to me "I know about that Jeep, that's the Jeep on steroids".

First date with some girl.....Guy in a brand new Escalade on 24" pulls up as we are getting out to head into a movie..."NICE jeep bro wanna trade"....Girl (already forgot her name) "you get that a lot don't you?"........Me "yea a little bit"....girl "have you broke it in yet?"

My all time favorite is when i pulled up at a stoplight next to Grand Cherokee Overland and the lady driving it rolls down her window and ask me " Where did you get the body and kit and the rims from, its so cute " I couldnt help but laugh as i floored it when the light turned green, surely changed her mine about being " cute "

I have "VT" (Virginia Tech) where the "JEEP" emblem goes on the back. Some random guy at a gas station came up and said "Who makes the VT? It looks bad ass". hehe.

I had my brother recording my runs at the track for me and he was sitting in the stands as I pulled up to stage. Some younger guys were laughing asking who brings a jeep to the track. He actually laughed back at them and started talking smack. He said they shut up real quick after my launch. Kept hearing the word "damn" a lot.

Had a group of guys approach me in a drive thru and wanted to know if I was driving some new Ford lol.

My girlfriend can't believe all the comments and looks I get when we go out together. She said she likes how I get this sparkle in my eye when people stare or make a compliment about the jeep lol!

When I first drove it to my parents my mom said it was absolutely divine

Driving and got 'chased' down by a couple in a Mustang... the guy in the passenger seat I could see what waving his arms and pointing frantically asking his female driver to speed up as she rushed to and up beside me. After they got along side and tried to upshow the Jeep, I looked over, smiled and gave them an earful as I floored it away.

I get an occasional comment but mostly just get nods and thumbs up. I hate when people ask " hey hows the gas mileage on that thing."

I like catching people taking pictures of it.

My favorite comment would probably be at the strip some people saw me filling my bottle. I made a few N/A passes and then sprayed it and a friend in the stands heard them say wow wonder what he did that time. He told them I sprayed it and their response was damn I though he was spraying it :)

I got a similar story to yours where I was like one of the guys in the WRX... I was driving out in Cocoa Beach, Florida - Home of Lewis Performance Machines - when I see a guy in just a standard Dodge Charger flashing his lights and blinkers at me obviously trying to get me to pull over. I thought it was the cops and so I pulled over trying to figure out what I did wrong. He comes over to my Jeep and said something along the lines of
"Hey Man nice Jeep don't see too many of these around here." I couldn't believe this guy got me to pull over to tell me that but I politely responded back and said thank you and thought I would inform him about another Black Jeep SRT in Cocoa who just ran under a 10 second quarter mile. He responded back "Yeah that's my Jeep". That's how I met Chris from LPM.

I was with my girl one night and pulled aside this nice white Escalade. Don't mean to brag but my girl is fine as hell but the girl on the passenger side of the Escalate was LIGHTS OUT PRETTY and ask if I wanted to race? I said, 'Hell yeah!!!' Her guy driving theEscalade declined. His girl replied, 'you spent 75 stacks for the Escalade and your afraid of a Jeep? Then, the light turns green and I wink at her and peel off!!!

Most of the nicest compliments I get of my Jeep are at the track from the announcer.
Most of the time he introduces me as "Mario the Cuban kid (QBNKID) with his HEMI Jeep SRT8". And last time I was at the track lining up against a TBSS he said... "Ohh oh... folks here we have a Jeep SRT8 and a Trail Blazer SS, this guys DO NOT like each other...!" LOL, I was listening to all this on the track's radio station as I was staging. And then he said "Usually the Jeep guys beat the Trail Blazers but lets see here" About three seconds later we launched and then he said... "What did I tell you...! Look at that...! Jeep wins again and that's why the chevy guys don't like to race the Jeeps" He said that cause I was a few car lanes ahead of the TBSS to say the least... :D
Before the race I was talking to the TBSS owner and he was a really cool guy and gave the jeep props. It wasn't like the announcer made it sound... :D We can get along. :D

Some of the other comments I get on the street are the typical...
"What is that thing"?
"Are those the stock rims?"
After seeing me race at the track "Damn.... Is that turbo or supercharged?"
This is my favorite... Some guy actually asked me this... "Wow... Is that the new Jeep with the vette motor?":silly: My brain paused and took me a few seconds to give him a polite answer LOL. :D
