Did anyone see the Hemi 6.1 Supercharger by Edelbrock at the Sema Show?

I saw it and saw the exact same blower at the track lastnight on a 2010 Corvette Grand Sport. Talked to the owner who also has a new CTS-V (poor guy) he said he ordered his Corvette this way and it only runs 5lbs of boost on top of the 427 he was running 11.40's I expected faster.

Those times don't mean anything. First, I'm sure the guy can't even come close to the limit when it comes to driving the car, and second, traction is an issue with those cars stock. That's why stock Z06s are breaking into the 10s with a professional driver, and highly modified ones aren't beating that with the average driver.

Did he add the 427? Grand Sprots come with an LS3 (6.2L), not the LS7(7.0L). The GS package replaces the Z51 handling package on the base car and basically adds the Z06 body, suspension and brakes to the base car. It's the only way to get a convertable with the widebody package.
Edelbrock is coming on strong with thier SC packages. They use an Eaton TVS rotor set like the Magnacharger. I don't like the big engine cover look all of thier kits have though.

He is probably talking about the horsepower. The GS comes with the 6.2 engine that has something like 420 hp stock or 436 or something with the exhaust option. I don't believe that the Edelbrock SC talked about is made for the 427 Z06 engine yet. FWIW..I've been told that two of the Edelbrock installs on Chevy's in Colo. have blown engines due to a design problem with the fuel rails that come with the kit. Sure is a clean looking package however but will probably be $2 or 3 k more than the Vortech as they are for the Chevy.
