Tomarow I'm going to purchase an 08 srt8.
It is black and has a chrome front grill. I have never seen an srt8 with a chrome grill before. I don't know how I feel about it and I can't even find another one with a chrome grill when I search for it.
Any thoughts on this?

Yeah you are correct that an 08 SRT does not come with a chrome grill, but instead is painted the body of the Jeep. Its possible the guy changed it out for the chrome one as I know of some peopl whi have done thaton a Silver SRT 8 Jeep. If not i would defintely take a close loook at this Jeep to make sure it has not been in an accident. Do a car fax on it if you can.

Check the Engine it might have a 5.7 Hemi or worst. Just saying, it might be a wannabe SRT.

so many shady people in the world. geez. I wonder why the SRT JEEPS dont have the serial numbering? When you know what production number your jeep was out of all the jeep produced that year. I seen it on some Z06 vettes. I am assuming cars/trucks that are rare have them. Regardless, double check the truck man.... good luck.

Carfax says it's an srt8 and it's at a used car dealer so assuming that's not the issue

The VIN decodes to at least identify it as an SRT, The 8th digit reveals the engine, 3 = 6.1 liter, only SRT8 had 6.1.
