: Irwindale tonight with the general
runnin 9s 05-31-2007, 11:01 PM To start off we had a great time, the most srt8's I have ever seen at that track. I made 2 runs that were my all time best. Run 1 temp was 81 my 60ft was 1.68 330 was 4.97 and at the end 7.74 @ 89 mph. Run 2 temp 71 60ft 1.63 330 was 4.89 and at the 1/8 7.66 @ 89 mph. the DA I was told was at about + 1500ft the general will post what they were im sure later. All in all I am very pleased.
OurZoo 05-31-2007, 11:09 PM Great seeing you guys up there and meeting a few new faces. 7GCSRT8s in total! I had fun and I wish I didn't have to bail to get home at a decent time. I'm not a pro so I didn't pay attention what the temps were when I ran, but I don't think I was too far behind you on each run so mine should have been similar. This was the first time I've ever gone to the track, but I'll be back.
1st Run:R/T .972--60' 2.373--330 6.058--1/8--9.140--MPH 79.63
2nd Run:R/T 1.308--60' 1.808--330--5.433--1/8 8.462--MPH 81.25
The guys all poked at me for the slow reaction time, lol. Except for the R/T, my 2nd run was much better.
HoustonSRT-8 05-31-2007, 11:16 PM Yeah, what the hell happened with that first run, OurZoo? Nearly a 2.4 60'?! Did you start in 2nd? :p
GotStroke? 05-31-2007, 11:17 PM Sounds like a fun night. Great times runnin 9s, now get back to work on that CAI kit. ;)

I think they asked me if I had my head down on a pillow. I was just overhwelmed from the whole experience and wasn't really sure what I was doing.
runnin 9s 05-31-2007, 11:20 PM Thank's and will do.
OurZoo 05-31-2007, 11:25 PM Oh yea! I saw the intake and it looked suhweet....and it was nice and cool to the touch as we were waiting in the lanes for the next run.
awdrocks 05-31-2007, 11:53 PM 60ft 1.63 the 1/8 7.66 @ 89 mph.
dam those are some good times. Is that on n2O? If not what are your mods? That should get you to about an 11.9 1/4.
runnin 9s 06-01-2007, 09:14 AM Stevo (general), did you get a chance to find the DA #s from last night and the corrected times, let me know.

Your best run (7.66) is about a 11.93...........not bad for a stocker on Nitrous!
LBCSRT8 06-02-2007, 04:37 PM Awesome time at Irwindale the other night! It was great meeting all you guys. Thought I'd post my times up for all to see as well...

Are you F'ing serious???? YOU ARE CORRECTING A NITROUS RUN???
Dude, you are indeed of superior intellect! ;)
generallyconfused - Thank you very much for the entertainment you provide for a large engineering firm!
runnin 9s 06-02-2007, 10:00 PM Are you really that f...ing stupid, it does not matter what you are running, if you are above sea level or below, Da + or - there will always be a correction factor; you also have factors of water grains ppm, nitrogen, helium, oxygen, trace elememts= smog, dust and any contaniments in the air, photosynthesis, which allows for more oxygen content = more HP or less. If you don't believe me, ask any NHRA crew chief which travels the country every year, knows every tracks elements, and how to correct for the atmosphere they are running on, regardless of nitro methane, race gas, nitrous, turbo or supercharger, its common sense. Next time do your homework.
HEMI ETR 06-02-2007, 10:08 PM If it makes you happy, that's all that matters.
BTW, nice runs!
OurZoo 06-02-2007, 10:13 PM Hemi ETR , you sure go about making friends the wrong way. What is your dealio?

That's a fact. I can guarantee it, being one-of those "local" NHRA guys with a crew chief.:D
Crank 06-03-2007, 12:38 AM Way to back it up Phil. Point is definately proven by my standards.

Jeez....you are beyond the pale as they say. I hope you stay in your cubicle or whatever in your "large engineering" firm, and don't take your attitude, style of interfacing with others, and overall "people skills" to a real world track where they actually test/tune, to see what works and doesn't, cause someone is liable to knock your di** in the dirt.
You have basically contributed not much of ANYTHING so far, imho, in all your posts. You have provided no creds, given no hints as to your experiences, and simply made the (I think I can safely say) majority of those here who don't just laugh you off, take you for someone with no usefulness at all. However, it's your right to expound as you choose, so just keep on spitting out the venom and get your jollies.
