I know I need to change the fluid in the tcase but is this a symptom of that or something worse?
The other night I was testing some launches on the way home. It was 47 degrees out, so kinda chilly. I had the T/C off and put it in autostick.
The first launch goes something like this: Squeal all 4 tires off the launch, take off like a bat outta hell, then at the top of first I get a hard studdering feeling like the tires are breaking loose, followed by them actually BREAKING loose and which results in it bumping to the redline and shifting. This in turn results in my rpms dropping to 4,000 rpms in second gear and the truck bogging like crazy from the drop.
I'm like wtf? Does everyone's car suffer from this on cold nights on runflats? I think I'd need a blower on this car to actually break loose at the top of first....
So the second launch goes something like this: Squeal all 4 tires off the launch, take off like a bat outta hell, then a hard studder feel coming from the tires at the top of first, the nose drops like it lost grip. Then boom it shifts to second, then the front tires seemed to get all the power and they squeeled as the car banged second gear. This in turn resulted in the nose rising back up again and everything back to normal as I sped off.
So my question is.....Is my Tcase reacting slow due to some old fluid in there? Does it shift the power that fast to keep this from happening normally, or does everyone's do this?
I also get some groan and whine when I take hard corners with the traction control on around onramps (but I know a people get this with the t/c on and a lot when off), and when I turn the T/C off and come to a stop, or start off slowly, I feel like a sort of feedback through the car...like a pulsing feel those last couple feet before I halt, or the first few feet I pull away from a stop as I engage the accelerator.
Sorry for the book....any help?
