Ok my buddy came over today and apparently he smashed his tahoe into a brick mailbox, the pics are halarious. Well I ask what he's in and he tell me a charger. I ask if its a V6 and he says yes.

I know that through other threads here that the V6 has a higher shift point than that of the jeeps V8, would it work if the TCM out of the rent car charger somehow got put in my jeep raising my shift points from around 6000 to 6400 or something like that.

Well would this work guys?

No the TCM and PCM are seperate. Cant adjust them without some work on the jeep. There is a mopar TCM that you can buy and if you put it in a LX first you can adjust the shiftpoints up to 6400 and then install it in the jeep. There are a few threads about the mopar TCM

Where are the pics then?

+1!

I'll get him to email me the pics. His tire bumped the crumb then the curb jerked the wheel and BAM! right into a 4 ft tall fully enclosed brick mailbox. LOL the pic has bricks spread all out on the yard and the cop car parked in the road. The best part is that it ripped out the rivets that hold the suspention mounts on the frame so their gonna replace a framerail. LOL

I've read the tread son the mopar TCM and took the part number up to my dealer. None avalible and none on the way. If you don't have one now you wont get one most likely.

Do you think changing them out with the rent car would work?

No the Mopar Performance TCM is not VIN specific like all the other OEM TCM's that come with the cars from the manufacturer if you were to swap them your jeep would not function.
