Hey guys, check out this site: http://www.burnsvilleoffroad.com/

Dan McKeag is the owner and is the only one in the US who has pulled off putting a 6.1 in a Jeep other than a Cherokee (that actually works). He is highly regarded and respected in the off road community as well as the custom community. I cannot say enough about Dan's ability and passion.

Please take a moment to visit his site and send him a note (tell him Darrin sent you). He has installed gears and lockers on my Cherokee off road rig and builds Jeeps for the local dealer, Park Jeep. That's where I purchased my SRT8. My hats off to Dan and his shop for being an innovative leader and an avid Jeep suporter. Thanks Dan!

Bump please. Dan deserves a lot of credit.

Thanks,

Darrin

Would he do a header install on my Jeep? Is his labor pricing competitive, or will I pay a surcharge for his name?

Dan will service anything you desire. I cannot speak for specific pricing as it's his business, but I do know from past experiencies that he is fair in his pricing and his quality is outstanding.

I'm think this is close to breaking the new non-vendor advertising rules.

He did a nice job on the wrangler, though.

Your avatar exudes sexual innuendo and thus is a direct violation of the new forum rules.

No one has approached me about it or complained about it since the rules went into effect weeks ago? I get tons of compliments and comments about it, though. If an admin or mod wants me to change it, I'll do it no questions asked. No biggie.

My point was that some of the supporting vendors might not like it. It was more of a heads-up thing than anything else. I did not report this thread or complain. It was just an idle suggestion.

Houston, thanks for your concern, but the vendor did not post. I did. I just wanted to show everyone what he is doing with SRT8 motors in Jeeps. Last I checked this was an SRT8 forum and yeah and for Jeeps.

I agree with both of you. The post did seem a bit spamish. But on the other hand, it is nice to know of reputable vendors that do good work (in my area)(Hennessey :o ) And yes, the avatar definitely does have a sexual conotation. And I happen to like it as well!

It didn't seem like you were just showing off his work when you asked people to visit his site and send him a note for whatever reason. If you were just showing off his work, then you would have just said something along the lines of "Check these out!", but you were plugging him instead. But whatever, like I said, I didn't report this or anything.
