After purchasing my GC SRT8 last summer, I found out the wood ramps I had for the last twenty years wouldn't work with it. The front fascia hangs too low and the ramp angle of the old ramps was too large so the fascia would scrape.

As I like to do as much work on my vehicles as I can, this was unacceptable. I built a new set with less steep (12 degree) angle. The Jeep clears the new ramps and goes up them easily. These also work better for my wife's Accord.

If anyone is interested in making a set, the materials and dimensions are:
2x10 Material
10" Uprights
24" Top
48" Ramp
1x4 Sides
Square Head Deck Screws (various lengths)
With the tools I have now, this was sure a lot easier to build than when I did it years ago (Drill driver versus Screwdriver, etc.)

Here are the pics:

Looks like good quality work, but I've had wood ramps before and they are heavy. I use some rhino ramps with no clearance problems and they cost only a little bit more than the wood it cost to make my previous ramps.

I use the steel ramps. They stack nice and get the Jeep up. I did have to use a piece of 2x6 to lessen the angle of approach.

I bought the 12k pound Rhino ramps for $35 bucks and they work great, no clearance issues at all and very light weight and easy to store. They look like a smaller version of these custom wood ones but in plastic.
