See my other thread.
I have three cracked wheels - all in a similar place - and asked Chrysler to replace under warranty.
In my view a wheel should be able to do the job of running on the road under most reasonable conditions, which mine have.
Chrysler, however, seem to think that wheels will crack if you drive over potholes - what? I would have thought they should be fit for purpose?
And because the roads were poor last Winter in the UK it's not their fault.
Now one wheel cracked I might believe, but THREE? And all since the last service?
That just isn't logical.
Anyone have any ideas where to go now - is there an ombudsman of some sort or do I have to sue?

al under consumer law in the uk , if you buy a product it must be fit for propose , in my mind if they crack due to anything but wear and tear ,then they are not fit for porpose and they must either repair or replace the faulty goods , i said this when they said that they wouldnt replace my leather seat that cracked, they did after i quoted the above
been down that road 6 months ago with my local jeep garage i had only cracked one wheel at the time, they had never heard of such i thing which made me laugh, but would put the service manger on it to check it out for me. no luck i was told as you where, wear & tear pot hole i had the wheel ally welded i am not happy about it but didnt want to go down the road of main dealer bull**** tbh,my brother at the time was working for transport company who shipped stuff for jeep etc was told they replace wheels buy the container load dont know if that is for chipping or damage or poor quality

Hi Brent
Just heard back from Chrysler this morning that they will not do replacement under warranty and they won't give me any "goodwill" payment - so now things are about to turn nasty...........:fight:

Well Chrysler refused the warranty claim and now refuse a goodwill payment.
I've written to their CEO stating my amazement that they won't even properly examine the wheels and are happy to look at pictures.
If they don't do something by the end of next week it's hello Small Claims Court, BBC Watchdog, VOSA and SMMT............

Well guys, just shows persistence pays;)
Chrysler have FOUR new wheels on order for me.
Apparently they are "the new design" - not sure if that means the 2010/11 model and/or 9" and 10" wheels, but who cares?
Thanks for all your help!!
PS Sorry Bri - only just read your post suggesting I call you - thanks mate!
