what are you willing/able to spend? and how fast do you want to go?

Theres just a few of us in here that have just a couple of mods and do very well with out really spending a lot of money. Its all up to you just how fast you want to go. Now that PAUL has jumped up another couple mods there is only a few of us left to try and keep up with them. WADE is one of the best examples to look at as far as running in the 12.30s with just a few mods and the right DA.
Just remember all mods dont make more hp.

Bang for the buck I'd do exhaust and/or tune. Both are great, affordable upgrades IMO. I've had my Jeep for a month as of today and in that time I've installed:

Volant CAI
Borla S
Predator Tune with Johan custom
B woody sway bar links
Debadged
Tinted windows
Murdered her completely out
EE Catch can
Shorty billet antenna
Powder coated wheels

Tuesday I'm getting the tails tinted.

Tune was the most noticible difference performance wise but the exhaust was the one that made me the happiest. Sounds AWESOME!!!

if ur looking for hp i would wait on an exhaust. our stock exhaust are capable of handling power up to FI(not including). thats a grand or more depending on wich exhaust u were looking at you can put toward a mod or mods that will actually produce hp. maybee go headers/ pully/ cam/heads deff get urslef a custom cmr. infact start with a custom toon and maybee the 180* t-stat and a catch can. with those mods u get some performance as well has some key engine protection wich is big. se how u like that because with the right custom cmr u will feel a big difference.. from there the possibilites are endless. my next move(s) are all my supporting mods for a blower. headers/ guages/ borla or corsa exhaust with no cats and maybee no resonators. deff do ur homework tho. and dont go overbored to fast. one thing at a time. thats what i have learned.. also before u go any further fig out if you will be going FI or N/A. this can affect what you might want to get and not get as far as certian mods... talk to the experts as well and get there advice and see what say say. like i said... do ur homeowork.

Nope ...... Intake / Tune / Borla S . and some 100 Oct. racing gas that's it .

Here's me running 12.55 with Intake / Tune and Borla S / 93 Oct Gas on a 70 degree weather and 600DA . No need much to go fast .

I've been researching the forum and have realized MOST people are modded out with:

1. Intake (BWOODY 4" CAI) - performance mod $319.00
2. Diablo Predator Tune (Johan tuned) - performance mod $359.00 + Tune
3. Exhaust (pick ur fav.) - performance mod $1,100.00 (borla s)
4. BT Catch can - preventative mod. $120.00
5. T. Stat 180* - performance/preventative mod $40.00
6. Shorty Antenna - aesthetic mod $80.00

Total: $2018.00
This is just for the parts. add your % Tax and Shipping. Plus if your mechanically challenged like me, couple hundred for labor (Although I am convinced that I can install the Antenna hahahlolololol). IMO this is what is found in your " average modded jeep around here " generally speaking. Other members have modded their trucks with variability, but I can safely say that everything I have mentioned above is or has been involved with every truck on the forum with variable setups depending on the owner.

The next step after these mods include Headers, Cams, throttle bodies, Pulleys, Forced Induction (supercharger/turbo) etc...but this is when the pocket books get deep and in IMO you might be compromising the reliablity of the vehicle. Because we all know that after certain amount of mods...reliability can become an issue. Therefore, if this is your daily driver and you absolutely drive it to work and run errands and are simply looking for a little more ooommppphhhh... work around the mods I listed on the top of the post and decide what you would like to do first. After all, it is your truck and your setup. And if all else fails... put some stickers on the Jeep and that will give you at least 25 placebo HP...!!!! lol.

GOOD DA,cmr tune,exhaust (no headers) afe2 cai and a race gas mix of 93 & vp109 (105 octane) and a couple others but they wernt hp makers. IMO you dont need a cat back exhaust to go fast unless you really go modded.
