Yeah I have seen one driving around where I live. There were two people in the "vehicle," both of which were wearing helmets. Sure do look fun and insane to drive in though!

Yeah, here are a couple of pics of me riding in my friends in downtown San Francisco and a few more of two other cars that joined us at a golden gate lookout point.

There is no other car that I've ever been in that even comes close. :)

That thing is sweet. I'm thinking of ordering one this summer. So do these come complete or is it a kit car?

I built one online, they are not cheap, but they would be a blast! Do you know what engine your friends has, there are 3 or 4 different options - up to a 300 HP one!

My friend has the 240 horse version. Apparently all you need to do is change the pully and couple of other minor tweaks to convert to the full 300hp version, this said, I hear that the 300 version can get downright scary (breaking lose at speed, etc.).

In the pics, the blue car is an all electric version created by one of the original Tesla engineers and has approximately the same output as the 300 car.

It is technically sold, registered and insured as a kit car but when you pick it up at the factory it is turnkey complete minus the gas cap.

I do think that you can order in true "kit" form from the UK.

The only thing stopping me is that it would have to be a cash deal (around 60k) because of its kit origins.
