: Top Gear hates 300C SRT8...
Mango 05-25-2007, 10:48 AM I know this is kind of an old video, and it's not a Jeep, but I still found it interesting.

300C SRT8 vs. M5....
What was Jeremy thinking comparing the two....and It angers me how he complains about the 300C. I drove it at the Track Experience and found it to be a great "drivers" car.
tommy25000 05-25-2007, 12:07 PM top gear is notorious for hating on american cars... how do you put a 300 srt up against a m5??? not even close to the same class. they had some bad things to say about the new c6 z06 also... what could you possibly say bad about a car that will out perform super cars all day long that costs $70k??
I love the show, but it drives me crazy how hard they are on american muscle.
Inferno SRT8 05-25-2007, 12:11 PM Ide like to smack the taste out of that pricks mouth. Typical Brit.

GRNENVY 05-25-2007, 05:39 PM It's ok I hate foreign ****. I have raced about everything out there with my 03 cobra and they never have any luck. When I lived in Philly I loved to race the big dollar cars. I would cruise over to Princton NJ they had a porsche hang out I would go over there and smack all there asses. I live 2 min from Tampa now if there's any imports that want to run speak up.
Jerod 05-25-2007, 05:47 PM The Z06 review they did laughed because the default on the GPS was fast food restaurants.

I will run you when i get my Jeep back! Not exactly an import but still should be fun. I will hold you off to 80 MPH;)
hound 05-25-2007, 09:38 PM If you watch Jeremy's first review of the new M5, he absolutely hated it.....until he touched the "M power" button. Come to think of it, it would be pretty swell if the SRT line had something similar. An "SRT" button that bumped up performance and stiffened the suspension when you pressed it.

Ok so how much performance would you like to sap out of the current default setup so that the SRT button would make a real difference? I for one don't want to have to hit an S, M, SRT, ESP or other button to do what I want with the car on a regular basis. I required myself to do this every time I drove in my old RS6 and shouldn't have had to. I do like the Ferrari idea of a dial on the wheel where it's a set it and forget it type of thing instead of hit the button every time you get in the vehicle.
Trogdor 06-18-2007, 04:58 AM I own a BMW 3 series and drove my friends 300C SRT8 and let me tell you it really doesn't compare to BMW handling wise. I felt scared corning in it because the car did not feel stable at high speeds. The steering was very fluffy and soft compared to my Bimmer. SRT really needs to step up their game with the suspension to accommodate the immense power.
On a side note im thinking about getting the GC srt8 :D

So you've met a lot of typical Brits ?

After your done Tony, I'll smack the taste back into that pricks mouth. I do have to give the little twerp that works with him some credit, he does own a vintage GT mustang.
BahnBlastR 06-18-2007, 09:08 AM Personally, I love the show. Clarkson can get on your nerves though. If I am not mistaken, he drives a Ford GT - go figure. He does seem to love American car bashing. But you have to admit, there is a lot of ***tty American cars out there. One of the funniest segments was the H2 Hummer that he drove through some English villages. What a riot. And it pretty much is a POS. No offense to the Hummer crowd, but it's a Tahoe with a different body...... :)

He got rid of the Ford GT and ordered a Gallardo Spyder.

Good choice with the GC SRT8! I traded in a BMW 330i with the ZHP performance package for a 06 GC SRT8, and never looked back (16 months thus far with the GC)
Trogdor 06-18-2007, 01:45 PM How does the handling of the GC compare to your old bimmer?
