First I installed a CAI without taking off the negative battery. I thought it would lose all of my presets and settings. Then I have been driving alot of hwy miles lately and not going fast at all. I noticed that the shifts were not as sharp and wouldn't go down to a lower gear as before. I removed the negative battery cable for a minute or two. Now the car is alive again it feels much sharper :). The car should have a reset button to make this happen. Only my MPG's got reset for what I could tell.

It's easier to pull fuse #20, turn the ignition to "ON" and press down on the brake pedal for 15-20 seconds. This will reset the adaptives in the PCM.
