I just talked to Z06 -- I'll get the details from him later. But basicly he said they are doing an IPOD interface that charges and allows you to use the factory controls to control the IPOD.

Are you saying we can control the ipod from the steering wheel?

I wouldn't be impressed unless it displayed track info on the screen. I guess that would be too good to be true!

The company is Peripheral. They are the largest ipod interface manufactures. We used all their stuff at a stereo shop that I used to work for. i believe that you will be able to use the steering wheel controls!!

I'll bet some of the supporting vendors here will carry that part ;)

Mopar does make an Ipod interface that works with NAV, but not our NAV. If I remember correctly we have CAN Bus NAV in our SRT's and the Ipod interface for CAN bus is not out yet. It is available for most other Jeep vehicals though. I believe the info is on the wkjeeps website.

I have the mopar one in my viper srt with the RB1 navigation. works well with the radio and displays the song titles on the screen. I havent had a chance to play with it much yet but all in all its a nice feature. It works with my my sirius radio too, it toggles itself between the sirius and the ipod. It was a very easy intall, plug and play but the viper does not afford much room to hide anything behind the dash.
Hopefully we will have a product similar to this one for the GC soon.
