I'm buying a lo-mileage used 2010 GC SRT8 that does not have the big kicker (speaker) in the back.
The dealer is telling me that this particular vehicle didn't come with one. Everything I am reading is telling me that all the GC SRT8's had one if you got the "standard" upgrades.
Can anyone clear this up for me?

The dealer is right on this one. The audio package didn't come with upgrade options 1 or 2. It was an upgrade option by itself although in order to get it you had to have option group 1.

Kicker subwoofer only came with the High Performance Sound package.

Otherwise, it came with Boston Acoustics speakers and no Kicker sub.

You can buy the whole Kicker upgrade system from ************.com for around 1000.oo depending on 1 sub or 2. Anyway it is pretty easy to install. Only difficulty is trimming the dash under the covers just a bit for the new tweeters and disassembly of the back area trim panels to put in the new amp. If you are moderately mechanically inclined, can follow directions and have basic tools you can do it in a few hours. It is totally worth the upgrade. I did it then sold my BA speakers for pretty cheap.

I installed the Kicker in my 08 and didn't need to do any trimming of the dash for it to fit. They dropped right in.
