Is it true that throwing 22's or 24's on my srt8 will mess up how it rides because its AWD.

Will ride harder and performance will suffer also.

If your goals are to go fast....keep the stockers.

If you want to do visual mods alone.....22's with some good tires. I think 24's are a little bit to big for our vehicle size. IMHO.

Be ready to sacrifice a little bit of ride as Inferno stated above.

As long as your front and rear tire diameter are the same you should not have any awd drivetrain issues. But I would keep the same diameter of tire as your stock.

My stockers were 16x7 on a 235-70-16, and when I went 20's I tried keeping the closet overall diameter the same as my stock tires. I went with 295/40/20's.

As stated above... performance will suffer, acceleration and breaking distance, you will also drop your mpg a little.

The rules of thumb are that you need to keep the overall diamter the same in the front and rear, and also keep that OD number within .5 inches +/- of the stock OD.

i disagree about the performance suffering.... my truck corners, rides better than stock... they didnt slow me down either

If your overall diameter of your stock 20'' tires is smaller than your now 22''s. The bigger rolling diameter and the heavier set of wheels and tires will notch you down a little to the 1/4. It might not be so noticeable because you already had big wheels and tires from factory. But I was more thinking of my case... my factory wheels and tires were almost half the weight I have now.... I felt a huge difference in acceleration and braking. But my handling is day and night, much better now.

What does the STR8 come with stock? 275's?

255/45_20 in front on 20x9
285/40_20 in back on 20x10

Export models get 245/45 or 245/50_20 on 20x9 all the way around

if ur willing to spend the money there are some sets of 22" wheels that are actually lighter then our stock ones---soo theres no loss in performance at all

Thats right.

The trick is to try not to get heavier and keep your overall diameter as close as possible to stock.

a nice set of hre's or i-forged---i think most forgiatos--and this new wheel company cor has a few nice sets that are light and fit--i myself am looking a a black set of 22" gfg beverly hills-i think they are about 5 pounds lighter up front and 2 in the back--so match that with lighter tires with the same overall height and your in business
