The dealer called today, my SRT8 arrived with them this afternoon !
The salesman could hardly contain himself, describing the truck in detail ( as he had never seen one) I am sure he was drooling at the other end of the `phone!
Should be registered and ready to collect in around 10 days time...... can`t wait !!
Any other U.K. owners / cars on the Forum ??

Rob,
I am a new SRT8 forum member from the UK. I get mine beginning of August.
When I went to Marshalls in Peterborough, they were clueless about the car. I knew more than them and took them a while to get the cars on order. I obviously missed the first batch. Not sure what the total in UK will be but I have been told 50 this year by one source and as much as 200 by another. Given that Jeep will only make 3000 in one year worldwide, I think 50 is more the mark for this year. I scowered the net in the UK and most of car mags are clueless about what this GC can do - even Clarkson. This is some serious American muscle. Like it better than Mustang, Shelby, etc as it has real presence. Even if I have money for a Cayenne, I would not buy one as it looks crap. The Range Rover again is too boxey. The GC is perfectly shaped in my view. The only downside is the plastic interior. For our American cousens, European cars tend to get better interiors for the most part - more subtle plastic/pvc or leather. The GC is very course and hard. The SRT8 in the UK has all the interior the overland has minus the wood. Not bad, but could be better. As one journalist said, if the interior of the GC was more like range rover, it would be unstoppable. No other 4x4 handles better than a GC SRT8 - period. Love to see the stig go around the topgear track in the SRT8 - wet or dry - does not matter.
