the previous owner i guess did not clean the wheels as often as necessary, i have some stains on the front wheels. mostly where the spokes meet the outer edge. is there anything out there that would (safely) remove these stains even if theyve been on there 3yrs+? i know its a longshot, my gut tells me theyre stained for life, but i am sick of scrubbing them with a sponge hoping one day it might come off. any ideas? thanks!

That looks like it will definitely come out. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but a mother's powerball will likely work on that.

Order some P21S Wheel Gel. That will clean any wheel to perfection. Safe for ALL WHEELS. It's what a lot of high end detailers use on high end cars. Get you some good safe wheel brushes that will go all the way through the wheel and it'll clean the insides too. I used some on my wheels at 60K miles and it made them go from this to this.

That's an easy job for a claybar. You can thank me when you see the wonders that clay bar will do! :D

had no luck with wheel polish, simple green, or anything i could think of. the whole car is due for a claybar soon since i had to drive it all winter in the salt/snow this year. hopefully that will do the trick. it feels like the brake stains are actually pitted in the wheel.

I think it may be time to paint or chrome.

When I periodically take off the wheels and clean the insides, I've found a simple tar and adhesive remover best cleans all the crap off the inside. And then, when you have a lot of spare time, just get some good wheel polish and a lot of elbow grease to really make them shine
