: Etown Friday And Saturday Results So Far!
Inferno SRT8 05-19-2007, 05:52 PM Got my first run with the B&G Stage 2 and all I can say this mod works, along with the spacers and IAT relocation my car has become VERY consistent.
My best times were 12.6 1/4 at 108.72 a 1.7 60'
Im running just as good as I was in the dead of winter and then I had no 180 Tstat, phenolic spacers and relocated IAT. Dont think heat hurts your times? It does BIG TIME. All my 12.6 were with coolant temp at 185-190 tops.
I had five 12.6's all with 1.7 60', one 12.7 1.8 60' and one 12.8 1.7 60' because I ran it with the coolant temp at 200. All my 12.6 were with coolant temp at 185-190 tops.
Considering I have ONLY bolt on mods and have not yet touched the engine im pretty impressed with the B&G and all the bolt on mods.
Mark Bevsjeepsret8 is running his usual sick mid to high 11's!!!
Panajeep with his 2007 same bolt on mods I have add heads, cam and converter pulled a 12.3!
We went heads to head and we were 1 and 1, our first run my R/T was better and I beat him by ide say a car lenth and he still ran a 12.3! And the second one he caught me at the 1/8 marker and tripped the light on me, that run he ran 12.54 to my 12.69 his 60' was 1.75 mine was 1.78
Great day and im pretty happy with my results got me a consistent 12 second truck with no engine work, yet. :D
OurZoo 05-19-2007, 06:04 PM Cool Tony. Sounds like you guys had fun. I'm gonna have to hit Irwindale with the General, Running 9s, Envied, and any other local that wants to go at some point soon.

NINOSRT8 05-19-2007, 07:35 PM 12.6 @ 108.7 is awsome! I bet with a converter you could be very low 12's @ near 110!!! I want to pull the trigger on headers, however don't want to constantly clear the codes. How freiquent do you get them and how long does it take to clear them with the dashawk? Thanks in advance and sweet truck.

Dont let the CEL discourage you from the headers, takes 10 seconds to clear the CEL with the Dashhawk. The power gained with the headers is second to none. I get a CEL maybe twice a month tops.
GotStroke? 05-19-2007, 07:44 PM Great numbers Tony, congrats! How was the weather/DA?

Good job! Like you said in you first post "CONSISTENT".
We "rarely" see weather like that out in So.Cal (More like 1200-4000DA based on season). Enjoy it.
With AWD I am curious, if you don't mind me asking, what were your avg. RT's?

Are you launching on the bottom amber when it "just comes" on or is "already" on? I assume the tree has LED's not incandescent.

Im trying to launch as soon as the 3 amber lights up last time I had a .009, some times im better sometimes worse.

On a "street/bracket" car with stock supension, if you can "consistently" avg. 020-050 your good. On an AWD SUV.... 040-080 is great.
I can see it now......... "Infereno SRT8 is the first one to pioneer in a "trans-brake" for the new JGCSRT-8" !:D

The 2800 converter will help a little bit with that, as long as you can "hook"
???? Is your ABS fuse pulled?? I read that some of these guys were doing that and I am a GM guy, so I don't know the internal "B"CM programming, thus what's the advantage? Must be intergal to the Traction Control I am assuming. ???

I was pulling thas ABS pump fuse but now with the B&G Stage 2 I dont need to do it, the flash has removed torque managment on launches, all I do now is just hit the traction button in the cabin off and no stalling, just pound the throttle when the tree drops.

Cool, I am glad I asked.
Good job again. Thanks for the "pioneering".

LOL I hear ya. Now a days just "bolt-ons" are a killer
Glad I could help, now if a damn tuner would come out ide F/I this baby!
I know I am gonna get slammed here but, if there was a product out like "LS1EDIT" for these cars which had the full programming potential like the LS1 guys have, the "STS turbo" set-up would be ideal here due to the room at the rear of our rides. Working around the Trans may prove to be interesting but....
They already have a kit for the RAM 5.7L just not ours. http://www.ststurbo.com/ram_hemi_
I don't know about STS and a "mopar" tune but, I have two LS1 friends who have these and so far problem free and easy removal if need be. But this is another thread....
Inferno SRT8 05-20-2007, 10:59 AM A tuner would wake these damn SRT8's up like nothing else!!!!!
And a TT that can be tuned, my god that givs me the shakes like a heroin junkie!
Guys I posted some info about my knock sensors on UDLOSE's thread, just some FYI.
