This is how I did mine, which were the vinyl type letters that most dealers use. I used a wooden tooth pick to loosen an edge of a letter to the point that I could pull the rest of it off with my fingers.

Wedge a business card in between the badge and the paint

Pry the pieces up with a small flathead wedged between the business card and the badge

Use googone to remove any "goo"

It should take you no more than 15 minutes, seriously...

If it is vinyl us a hair dryer or heat gun for a few seconds and it will come off with your finger nail.
All other emblems I also used the heat gun and than a rag to grab the end.....

Some might cringe by this but I usually use a small flat head screw driver. The key is to not touch the paint with it. Just get the edge of the letter and carefully pry it away. Sometimes they slowly peal off and other times they pop off and go flying over your shoulder. Fishing line works good. I've also used sewing thread. A single strand will snap easily so it's best to triple it and then slick through. They come off easier on newer vehicles.

Detailing shops I've ever been to use Fishing Line to remove factory and dealer badges. Leaves nothing behind, no chance to kill the paint and just use some orange cleaner and water to remove any residue.

A heat gun, a starbucks card (hopefully empty), two minutes (for the whole car), and a sprig or two of detailing spray. They basically hopped off the truck.
