Hey fellas, brand new here, and just recently sold my highly modded GT Mustang. I presently am the proud owner of a Laredo 05 grand cherokee with all the convenience options outside of overhead DVD and nav. I am considering purchasing/leasing a GC srt8 in the next year or so, and was wondering are there any problems or recalls on these cars. I am one of the top salesmen at our Jeep/Dodge dealership, and we can secure one of these Jeeps yet (even though we are 5 star) and I really want one bad.

Should I lease or buy?

Which of the SRT vehicles is best bang for the buck? We currently have a magnum and 300c on the showroom floor, and have a charger on the way...

Which one is the most family friendly?

Cheapest on insurance?

Thanks for all the help for the newbie...also, what if any aftermarket is popping up for this 6.1L hemi?

There is no question if you can buy it outright that is the best route. You can check out other posts here of horror story leases, and as you know there are no zero % financing on these.
I drove every srt at Road America on the 4 mile road course. My personal opinion, although biased is go with the GC. My second choice would probably be the charger. I would not consider the 300c and magnum just because I don't like the looks of them. Besides the fact the magnum is one big blind spot.
On the track the GC actually held the road best in turns while the others drifted somewhat, and it was the only one that still had more to offer on the straight aways.

I recently priced out insurance for the GC and GCSRT8 with MetLife who I have had for years. I currently drive a '96 2-dr Ford Explorer Sport (which has been great) and my semi-annual premium is $330. SRT8 is only $550, so not much more for a car worth a whole lot more money. The Overland and other GC weren't all that much less to insure.

100% DO NOT LEASE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You will get raped!!I have not had any problems what so ever with my jeep and have 4,000 miles on it now and I have not heard of any problems.By far the Jeep is going to be the most family friendly and cheaper on insurance, and beleive it or not the jeep out performs all of the other SRT 8 models.0 to 60 is 4.4 seconds and I have had mine up to 165 and it felt rock solid.
