Ok, so with my Vortech install fast approaching I am going to bring my rig in for 'warranty' work before I get it completely voided with the Vortech.

Here is something i am not too sure is something I need to worry about.

My rig drives fine most of the time; all of the time actually... BUT I have noticed that more often than not, my tranny seems to 'clunk' into gear (3 to 4 I think) when driving easy like a grandma. Is this something normal that people here experience? Is it gear lash?

I do have a MHP tune in the car so could it be that?

Any thoughts? Is this something I need to worry about?

When driving hard, the shifts are crisp and quick. Both in autostick and full auto.

Thanks

I can't say I've experienced this in my rig, but I HAVE experienced it in plenty of other vehicles. Sometimes driving like a weenie generates the clunk in between some of the taller gears (3+). But I don't know if your noise indicates a problem. If you're still under the factory warranty, take advantage of it by having the trans checked. Have the fluids checked for shavings or alien life forms. I'm sure you already know this, but that's all I can come up with lol. Hopefully some of the trans experts will chime in here shortly. Sorry I can't give more/better suggestions.
