Hit the 30K mark last week.

Bringing it to the Oil Depot tmw that is a local shop close to me. I've only gotten oil changes there but they have been great so far and at a reasonable price (i think its $65).

Anyways, i called them up today and am dropping the SRT off before i go to work. Im getting the transfer case, front/rear diffs, and an oil change. They said they couldnt do a transmission change bc of they need a certain dipstick??? Does this sound right?

Also what is the right fluid they are suppose to put in the transfer case, i just want to make sure...NV 146? It was my understanding that it was pretty rare, but i called them up and they said they had the right stuff which was surprising bc the place is pretty small.

But overall, how much should i be spending do you think? Decided not to take it into a dealership bc of the high prices.

if you take it to a dealer and they have the right stuff it should be about half the price because of markupsss

NV146 is a dealer only item and there is nothing besides factory that can be used in there.I'd ask to see the bottles of fluid first.

He called me back 20 minutes after i dropped my car off and said he didnt have it lol.

But i got an oil change and my diffs changed for $200...not bad. Im gonna buy the fluid myself and have them do it. He said its like $53 a qrt or somethin crazy like that.

Yes, $53/quart is correct. Sounds incredible, but true. I found some online on moparparts for around $37/quart. The NV146 is specific to Jeep SRT8; it says so right on the bottle! Aren't we special LOL.

Im trying to find it online for cheaper, but he told me to be cautious bc he thought the dealer may be the only place to get it....

Do you know how much we need? 2 quarts?
