Are the deck height and P/V clearances the same on the 6.4 as the 6.1 (assuming the same valvetrain of course)?

Ok whats the deal with these heads they look real nice.
Good pics, Mango....Did Anyone else get that email from Greg Murphy from Southern States Dodge in NC for the heads?
I think this is the lowest price I've seen to date.
Scroll down to 5.7/6.1 heads info..........

OurZoo 05-18-2007, 09:24 PM Can't wait to see what else develops!
laddcruzer 05-18-2007, 09:37 PM Mr Mango,
Sorry to sound stupid but are you planning on putting those heads on your Jeep SRT OEM engine. If so, what are your expectations for performance increases? Also I didn't see the cost of those beauties?
srt8hotrod 05-19-2007, 05:04 AM sweetttt you could gulp slurpies through those holes lolol.are ya sure ya want to put them on they are so prety!maybe put em on the mantal for a few days so you can drool over them
srt8hotrod 05-19-2007, 05:06 AM sweet pretyyyyyyyyyyyy.you could gulp slurpies down those holes lol
kramsay1234 05-19-2007, 05:38 AM Those look sweet. Now bolt them on there and give us the good news...
GRNENVY 05-19-2007, 07:59 AM I really like that they show the flow numbers with these heads.
To get any performance gain from these heads you must change to a higher lift cam.
If you look at the numbers theres not much to gain until higher lift numbers.
These heads flow great from the factory. Actually I can't believe I'm saying this but a change to the right cam with the factory heads may be worth more then just CNC heads alone.
**** my Pro ported Fox lake heads on my 9sec 347 didn't flow much more then these. I say the RIGHT cam with this motor and factory heads are worth some good pwr.
HoustonSRT-8 05-19-2007, 01:49 PM So....uhmm....where do you live, Mango? :p
gculver 05-19-2007, 02:07 PM I say the RIGHT cam with this motor and factory heads are worth some good pwr.
Yep, I Agree!
Mango 05-19-2007, 02:10 PM I plan to do a cam also, once I find the "right" one. That's the tricky part....

Yes it is, depends on your goals! Mine are changing "back & forth" every week it seems---I'm driving myself looney, that could be the problem- I'm already there !! LOL!

jlandbl 06-25-2007, 12:26 PM Mango - any updates on the install?
Mango 06-25-2007, 12:32 PM I could have sworn I posted it in here.
I guess not! Well, the day I went to have them installed...the Service Manager informed me that my entire engine warrenty would be void. I informed HIM that I was told it would not void any warrenty. Alas...I was misinformed by a dealer! GO FIGURE!
So I passed on the install. Opting instead to just stick to simpler bolt on mods. The most radical thing I'll do is the B&GII tuning. Which should come tomorrow or Wednesday! :)
panajeep 06-25-2007, 01:01 PM you going to fly brother
GotStroke? 06-25-2007, 02:21 PM I could have sworn I posted it in here.

Engine tuning is another warranty no no. Did you ask your service manager about it? Of course you could always just buy a spare PCM for the B&G and keep the stocker for warranty needs.
You could also just find a more friendly dealership.

Obviously thats a no-no, but as you stated...spare PCM makes ALL the difference. :o :o

Mango 06-25-2007, 07:25 PM So can spare heads, lol
Right...so I'm supposed to swap heads every oil change? I don't think so....
KINGMONKEY 06-25-2007, 07:45 PM I cant see the pictures
srtphilly 06-25-2007, 08:56 PM lets hope with all of this spending money on reflashes and spare pcm's you actually get some performance gains other than firmer shifts like everyone else with the b&g says
6.1 Turbo 06-26-2007, 01:18 AM What are you going to do with the heads then?
slow91 06-27-2007, 06:54 AM Right...so I'm supposed to swap heads every oil change? I don't think so....
No, you change the oil yourself.
