I watched a BMW x5 M run from a dig against an 2010 srt8 jeep both stock. The BMW caught the jeep after about 2 sec and then put car after car on it all the way to about a 1/4

it was about 4 cars ahead at the end.

This was on the street


Now these car's are turbo's with over 500 hp but still the BMW was soo fast

i dont think this is a shock... they run like 12.5's stock... vs a jeep's 13.1-13.3...

just wait for the 6.4 (or a slightly modded jeep, a 12.8-9 would look much better)

Nah.... the jeeps are getting out dated when compairing stock to stock:( Its kinda funny, i find some GCSRT8 owners are like the school bully, they pick on things smaller and slower but when they get their A$$es handed to them they have sit down and cry!

^^ thats the truth. it just caught alot of guys by suprise at our local spot when this bmw suv was haulin ass. our jeeps look way better tho!

I've owned a MB E class and an X 5 (4.8) and the Germans have it all over us for interiors, and they ride better and are smoother but it costs. I wanted something that was as practical for me, but something I could maintain in my garage. (instead of scheduling and paying $300+ for even an oil change) I know I gave up something in the Jeep but I literally paid less than half for the jeep. I just added SW headers (thanks Colt) and a tune and my SOP dyno tells me the new Bimmer's aren't walking away from my rig. Lol. Even with the cost of mods added I'm still less than half of the new Bimmer's cost with the same options.

+1 I think the way my JEEP is running i would eat one up on the 1/4 race with out a sweat .

Stock vs. stock, the Beemer bests the Jeep in dramatic fashion. It is a superior vehicle in all aspects, maybe even in the looks department for some. Can't beat a stock vehicle with warranty and backed by a reputable manufacturer vs. boltons and FI for the Jeep and basically void your warranty and be SOL should something go wrong. I would trade my Jeep in for a BMW anyday but the money lost would be painful.:( The Jeep certainly is not the have all, be all SUV anymore.

Personally I think the MB and BMW are both beautiful vehicles. I for one think having additional options in the high performance SUV market place does nothing but benefit us all. More interest in this segment will lead to improvements in each vehicle as evident by the fact these are both now faster than our rigs.

nah tmm has a point. u cant faily run a FI against a stock engine. for good comparison they should be somewhat similar. they wouldnt race them together at a track as per class goes. put FI in the jeep with the same boost and see what happens

I agree, all those fancy, ultra expensive SUV's are supercharged, do the same on the 6.1 and the GCSRT8 will beat them all by .5 sec in the 0-60, all that for half the price, not bad a value;)

However fast the X6M and X5M are, you can't get around the fact that they sound LAME. You go quickly, but they sound infinitely less cool than the SRT8.

The BMW's definitely look sick....but not as sick as the Jeeps.....the interior beats the Jeeps hands down....performance is better for the BMW's obviously...
