: Mopar Cnc-ported Heads
AT'sGCSRT8 05-16-2007, 11:24 AM As some of you may know or don't know I work for a DCX dealership in the parts department. I was woundering if anyone would be interested in the new Mopar cnc-ported heads if I could get you a really good deal. Let me know!:D
Mango 05-16-2007, 12:03 PM I just ordered these for my Jeep SRT8 from my dealer. What's your best price? My dealer charged me $1300 a head.

It will NOT void your warrenty, IF your dealer installs them. From what I hear, they perform as good as any other aftermarket heads.
My dealer confirmed, in writing, that it will not void my warrenty.

AT'sGCSRT8 05-16-2007, 12:49 PM I just got off the phone with Mopar, and he told me 20-25 h.p. on a completely stock motor,he said this is being very conservitive. He said with a cam to take advantage of the increased flow you're looking at a lot more!
timster 05-16-2007, 01:19 PM Does Mopar offer an upgraded cam also?
Mango, do you plan on upgrading the cam too, or just the heads?

Mango 05-16-2007, 05:53 PM My dealer is charging about $500 for the install.
Inferno SRT8 05-16-2007, 05:58 PM How much im interested!!!!
Mango 05-16-2007, 06:04 PM I'm paying roughly $2600 for both heads, and all materials needed for the install. Then the $500 for install at my dealership. They are EXCELLENT, they're having an "SRT" tech come in from another dealer just to do the install on my truck. It's like a damn special event or something haha!
It might be worth the drive down if you want to do this Tony. Top notch dealership full of gear heads.
Inferno SRT8 05-16-2007, 06:10 PM If my dealer cant do it, ill use yours. Thanks!
Mango 05-16-2007, 06:13 PM I'm going to hit up Tune Time and do a "before" dyno run, and an "after" dyno run to get a baseline of what these heads will do for people.
You may want to wait for that. :)

Razorecko 05-16-2007, 10:33 PM Hey at if you can get us a deal on the heads i'm sure alot of people would go for it, warranted hp is very rare around here.

gculver 05-17-2007, 08:49 AM ^^^ As stated, the 392ci cam will not work with a stock 6.1L shortblock--piston to valve clearance issues!
12SECUV 05-18-2007, 12:17 PM What are the part numbers?
