None of our Jeeps, or at least the ones i've seen at MDs meet sounded close to that, with all the work done on our engines !!!
With the exception of Steffan ... His is just insane with the cutouts ;)

i think it is, he didnt have the stillens at the time of the video, and to be honest with you i thought it was an 07, because of the front and rear painted facias, but im pretty sure that is the same jeep.

mine got annoying around 70 mph it would start making the pennies move in the little tray thing next to the shifter lol..but just cruising around in town its awesome an idle. but at WOT i would say its louder then my cutouts by a little bit.

Nah, I think that truck has headers also.

Mine has
Cam, Ported Heads, 1 7/8" SW headers (no cats), to 3" cutouts with "Y" pipe.
I don't think it can possibly get louder... There is literally nothing to restrict, or quiet the exhaust. Accept for the 1 7/8" header straight pipe.... which is the biggest size currently offered for our Jeeps.

For me, when cruising on the highway (cutouts open), The change bounces in the tray like crazy.... Everyone I pass looks at the Jeep like :eek:! And the occasional :fu:
To be honest, I find it too loud very often. So I just push the button... I only like to make it loud on short WOT runs or to show off :D

Sometimes, when im at the gas pump.... ill open the cutouts while the Jeep is off... so when I start her back up it sounds like thunder! It really does scare the sh!t out of people...lol

Very quiet when the cutouts r closed. LOL my catback is stock with a magnaflow muffler. I still have resonators and all.

On the highway there is ZERO drone. BUT when im pulling out of my garage in the morning its pretty loud cuz the cutouts DEFINITELY leak. The front of the Jeep is louder than the rear lol.
The cutouts did come with steel plate covers that simply bolt over the cutouts... havent tried them yet tho but it looks like a great idea, it should take care of the leaking if it starts to bother me. It would probably make my exhaust quiet.... too quiet IMO. The leaking adds just enough sound IMO lol.

I am going to have to disagree steffan, I do not think that jeep has cutouts. there is a different tone fro yours to that one....

But if it doesn't have cutouts I imagine that it has a "x" pipe in place of the muffler. Cuz that thing screamed!

I watched the video again and I think I can agree with Moron. I dont think it has cutouts anymore cuz If you watch it again closely you will notice that the noise is being projected from the rear of the Jeep. If he had cutouts, It would have been WAY louder when the camera man was up front / on the side since the cutouts are almost always placed before the muffler which is up front.

I just got the 5" tips welded on last weekend, it kinda changed the sound of the exhaust note a little.. Kinda hard to judge by the video as the sound quailty is not all that great, but yea mines louder!!!...lol

thanks bro....but now i have a magnaflow 12599 muffler lol...an to be honest my stock muffler was louder an sounded a lil better lol.

I have the 12599 muffler aswell. If you want loud, the 12599 muffler is not for you.

I actually like my magnaflow muffler... When my cutouts r closed my catback is very quiet, when I give it a good 60-70% throttle you notice the deep purr of the SW headers inside the cabin, rather than hearing the resonance from a loud catback... Not to mention, it's 100% drone free.

I like it peaceful at times :rolleyes:
my uncle has a 2010 range rover "signature" series, which means it's fully loaded, and supercharged. ( don't worry they're still slow as molasses :p ) when I drive that thing it's soooo quiet in the cabin. I love that, and the sound system is sick ofcourse.

i dont want loud but just idk how to explain it. but i do like the magnaflow alot to i have magnaflow on everything we own tbss,trans am,jeep,durango hell iam thinkn bout puting one on the interpid lmao....

Its def not about being the loudest.

Its about getting a sound that sounds good to you. IMO mine sounds beautiful when you lay into the throttle thats all that really matters :D
