: PIDS on Dataviewer/laptop template?

Hi all!

Perhaps I'm over-thinking this, but I haven't found the answer I've been searching for so I hope someone here can assist. My tuner likes me to use the Dataviewer software on my laptop to do my logging. There's about 16 or so PID's I need to record. It's a PITA to sit in my rig with the laptop each time to find and check the correct PID's. I was wondering if there was a way to save a set of PID's as a template of sorts so that when I want to do a new log I don't have to find/click each PID? I'd rather open a set of pre-selected PIDs. I realize I can open a previous log but wasn't sure if I could then start recording and save it as a new log (as opposed to appending the old log)? Thanks in advance for your help. I really struggled today because the bright sunshine, combined with a dusty screen and sweaty hands made it really fun (NOT) to go through the list and find/click what I needed this morning. But I think I got it anyway lol.

PM your email email and I will send you my template that I log via email and tell you where to install it.

Once you setup the PIDS you want to monitor, save it as a DASHBOARD.

On the toolbar (in DataViewer), there's a drop-down box/Floppy Disk (?) and a X at the end. If you look into the drop-down box, it will say <New Dashboard>, Default_DCX, etc. These are 'templates' as you say. DiabloSport calls them DASHBOARDS.

Setup the PIDs you want to monitor then choose <New Dashboard> and a SAVE dialog box will pop up and you just name it. That's it.

Johan or Mike posted a thread of 'PIDs for your Tuner' where they had pre-made dashboards for model years (some changes in the menu).

If you need any help, PM me.

Thanks, guys! Dashboards are precisely what I was looking for. I'd read about them but for whatever reason couldn't figure out how to create them. So when I'm getting ready to do some logging, I just hook up the Predator, attach the laptop with dataviewer running, open the dashboard i've created (thanks Jose), and click "record" when I'm ready to rock and roll. Correct? Then I can save it when I'm done as a .log file.

Beautious! I'm basically a lazy A$$ at heart, so anytime I can take 10 steps and shrink them down to 1 or 2, I'm all for it LOL. Thanks again for the education and help!
