Just purchased a Peripheral Electronics iPod adapter, (model CHYP), on eBay and am very happy with it. Itīs a direct connect solution, (no FM modulation), It connects to the back of the unit and you can run the cable that connects to the iPod to the glove box or the box in the center arm rest, (I did that), a very neat and clean install. The unit comes with and aux input so that you can connect sat radio or another source.
The iPod is controlled through the stock head unit and will display info depending on what particular model head unit you have, (REQ, RAK, etc).

How about some pics of the setup/install.

sorry Godfather got no pics.

The cable runs under the upholstery. A small hole is made inside the armrest box through which the connecter cable runs to the iPod that is stored/hidden inside the box. 40 dlls install at any good audio store, /can even be done by most anybody with basic tools, and some knowledge of the beast.

Regards!

Just an FYI - I pulled a Harmon Kardon IPod set-up out of my Jeep after I bought it used. The original owner had routed the cables through the center console. No need to pull the carpet. :)

Unfortunately NO it does not display track info. Here's the details:

The CHYP is a plug-and-play iPod and auxiliary audio input interface for late model Chrysler, Dodge, and Jeep vehicles. It is compatible with Nano, Photo, Mini, and Gen 3, Gen 4, and Gen 5 iPods. Using either the iPod clickwheel or factory radio or steering wheel controls (if equipped), customers can track forward and back for songs as well as rewind and fast-forward them. And because the CHYP connects directly to the radio, it maintains the original digital-quality sound. The CHYP also comes with an RCA jack and +12 volt output to add an auxiliary audio input (Mp3, DVD, Game, Satellite tuner etc). Customers can choose to select either their iPod or auxiliary input device to play through their factory radio. When selected through the radio, the iPod pauses and plays automatically. The CHYP even charges the iPod when it's connected.

If you want to display track info on your nav screen, the only thing that will work is the Mopar kit part #82209617 which is on ebay for $200. It's not as slick and user friendly as, say, an ipod interface for an aftermarket radio, but it does get the job done...
