Hello to everybody,
my name is Giovanni and I live in Italy.
I just ordered my black GC srt-8 and it's supposed to arrive here at the end of july.
Since it's one of the first srt-8 to arrive in Italy, I've never had the chance to hear the exhaust sound of this beast .
I'm used to the sound of my 98' GC 5.9 and I love its voice.
Is the sound of the srt8 similar?
Could anyone post a sound file of the stock exhaust sound?

The sound on the SRT 8 is much much meaner than you older jeep.You will be extreamly happy!!

72riv - I also had a 98 GC 5.9 Limited, and loved the exhaust sound. My family and friends say they can't hear me coming in my GC SRT8 like before. But when you gun the SRT8 engine it growls. I like the exhaust sound better in my SRT8.

The SRT8 sounds great, and I love the idle rumble....my 05 Silverado 5.3 had a pretty tiny magnaflow muffler, sounded awesome at wide open throttle and could be heard halfway across teh community never idled like this jeep.

My only complaint is that it isn't outright loud enough when driving and will definitely be putting on a different exhaust soon.

I'd like to keep my 5.9 too , but in europe the price of the gas is too high to feed both babies.
