My kids have two Stis and an Evo MR10. The Jeep runs right there with them. The MR 10 will out handle it but the Jeep gives the Sti a run for it's money even on the twisties. With the auto trans, the Jeep is more consistent off the line. My son with the MR 10 is trying to talk his wife into a GC SRT8 as well.

The Evo is still on the 9, word is there will be no 07 model. Just some late 06 Special Editions (cosmetic stuff). Then the 08 model will be the new Evo 10.

I've noticed that a lot of people don't even notice. They just think it's tricked out GC with no significant engine. I had a Z24 try to mess with me thinkin i was a regular GC.

the cars iam thinking
Navigator used
merecedes used
jeep srt8
porshe cayne non turbo used
power wise i prefer jeep srt8 just not sure if that car is safer the navigator or other cars crash wise how it would drive in snow.
what would you choose?
iam thinking of navigator just because it is big and prob safe for kids, not sure if size matters in that case.
and i am going with suv just because the kids will seat higher and that keeps them safer then in sedans.
mabe iam rong let me know what you think

Depends on the year of the navigator. Not sure if they have had electronic stability control since inception, but if not, the Jeep would be the safer vehicle as role overs are one of the main causes of highway fatalities. The Jeep is equiped with electronic stability program.

My personal opion The Navigator is just a big pice of sh%t,and definetly NOT the best in a crash.Because of it's size and body roll you are more likely to get into an accident. If you main concern is saftey Get the Benz or the Porsche.I had the twin turbo Porsche and did not like at all,I sold it after a week,I would tell you save the extra 18 grand on the s and get a VW Toureg. The best truck in the snow would be the Benz 100% followed by the Porsche. The Jeep hands down is the best when it comes to performance,as far as snow With snow tires you should be totaly fine.Thats what I am going to do.When it comes to saftey I truely beleive that the Jeep is 100% better than the Navigator but not as good as the Porsche or the Benz.So my call would be an all around good truck with unreal performance the Jeep is # 1 If saftey and driving in the snow are #1 I would get the Benz followed by the Porsche. As far as the Navigator,I would take a match to it.:D
Good luck

Then what's sitting in my son's garage? You did notice it's the MR 10, right?

Definitely do not buy a navigator. Huge pile of dung. Underpowered, undersprung, and no resale value. Other then that I agree with Radduc, if performance is your goal get the jeep!!

It's not an Evo 10, there is no Evo 10 out at the moment.

The current MR is a 9 (2006). My buddy just looked at one last weekend, he has an 05 Evo 8 RS that he was looking to trade.

No harm in that, the Evo 9 MR is one hot ride.........I had an 03 Evo 8 for a short while.

I run on I-78 often, but I haven't hit 150 mph yet. Most I have done is 110 mph. Maybe when I get 3,000 miles on mine I will try it.

The beat place to so it is just before ex 29 as you go up hill just before the senic overlook is when I start to hit it I make sure to stay under 85 because the cops hang there off to the left, but once you pass that your home free. It's the best place on 78 to haul ass.
