Hey Guys,
Looking for a little sanity check and valuable opinions...it's always easy to drool over a new car!
Dealer near me has a 2010 with Nav,Audio and SRT group 1 as a Demo for sale. Sticker is $48,545.....listed price is $39,545. I can trade in my 2006 and just about break even on that I think, so the question is what should fair price for a Demo be? Rebates alone will get the price down to $43,545 anyways.
I'll extend my loan for a new car in a heartbeat...so before I make a rash decision, figured I'd enlist the opinions of the veterans here...
With the new model coming out in 2012 and rebates taking the price down $43K, what selling price is a steal for this rig? Can't be upside down on it in 2013 when I trade for a 2012!!
Thanks for your opinions!

How many miles are on it and is everything in like new condition? If I was buying a demo it would have to be a REALLY great deal. There is no telling how much that Jeep has been abused in the miles it has. Definitely not broken in according to the manual! My dad was a manager of a new car dealership and the demos were a good deal if you can buy them at the right price......my guess would be about $37k not knowing the miles.

Did you buy it ?
I had a line on used 2008 SRT with about 31000 kms on it (18,000 miles) still under warranty. I decieded to go the brand new route for only a couple thousand more. I got a couple discounts cause of the wife working at the TD bank. At least I knew it hadn't had the crap kicked out of it.
Glad I went that route.

It has 4000 miles on it. I didn't buy it because they would only come down to invoice on it...which means that the rebates (when applied after taxes are) basically just cancelled out the taxes and I'd be taking a loan out at invoice. They had it advertised as starting at $39K but it was in such a shady way that they really are still trying to sell it at full price and will only come down to invoice on it ($45K). All in all....too far away to meet on anything reasonable. In my opinion, they have to get close to mid-30's.
They may end up sitting on it for a while and I'll call back. I'm sure it won't work out though....knew it was too good to be true.
I agree with you, if I'm going to pay that kind of money for it, I'll get one that hasn't been driven (likely hard) yet.

So they're advertising one price but trying to sell it for a higher price? That's so illegal -- well at least in NY State. Good luck on the shopping though....
