There's a downside? lol.
If there was I guess it could be when compared to the LX's the WK/GC is heavier, lower mpg, & there is less aftermarket.

Its heavier, so its a tad bit slower.

Your former LX buddies will hate you.

More people will envy you, and your friends will secretly want to trade in their cars for one but won't because everyone will know they copied you. lol, oh yeah, and the break dust.

People will often gaze in amazement....often in denial of the work of art they are witnessing. Sometimes even grabbing the camera phones to be sure they have proof of the encounter to show their friends.:D

Possibe traffic tie-ups because other drivers either forget where they were headed or disregard traffic signals. :)

What up Matty?;) My least 2 favorite things would be gas mileage and the stock stereo setup, but I'd still be another in the future.

Quoted by the SRT engineers: The Jeep is second only to the viper in the SRT family.

Down side? Matty there is none because your going to spray the Jeep because I know you :) So now you will have the monsterous launches and the top end due to the NOS.

Get the Jeep, I know you want too.

Hey Matty welcome to the Cherokee site, Home of the real speed demons. ok jk. lol. Well I have seen two cherokees out here on nitrous and those things are monsters. One has a 85 shoot (running9s) and his jeep is crazy fast.

That 14.7 is better than my 11.1 in my Volvo S60R. Now...on the highway she gets about 27 at 80mph.

But I'm never on the freeways...

There we go!!!!

I haven't gotten used to the fact of crusing 3000+RPM @80MPH yet on the freeway. I keep looking own to see if I'm still in 4th or not:o

It really could use a 6th (or better.. a 7th!), but then what would we have to give up...

the only downsides are cost to own (expensive rubber, eng oil, ****ty gas mileage, etc) and stiff ride (especially in the back seat).

i get <9 mpg in the city (nyc, stoplight every 200 feet) and 16 on the hwy runnin a smooth 75. stop n go will bring that right down tho.

overall, to compare to other cars i've owned ('91 300zx tt, '02 jeep gc laredo), this is my favorite. i've had the truck since september, and given the same $ for a new ride today (say <75k) i'd make the same choice.

+1 for that. I got mine the end of December and I keep looking around and thinking that there isn't one vehicle that I wished I had gotten instead. Like it more and more all the time.

Rear hatch gets filthy in bad weather - this is a drawback because the back is all any other drivers get to see...:D

Oh yeah - and the more time you spend on this site, the more it costs you in modding.

Downside - orange peel paint job, gas mileage......I can't think of anything else really, but I could sit here typing all day about the upside!!! ;)
