: Wrinkled Leather in Drivers Seat?
EX-SVTMAN 05-12-2007, 04:44 PM Hey Guys,
What's up with the wrinkled leather on the drivers seat since day 1? It's only on the left side bottom where u rub on it when exiting tje truck. Anything that you guys use or recommend to prevent this from getting really bad?

Dude what the hell? We pay top money for these rigs and the seats wrinkle like the cheap crap ford uses in their expeditions?
OurZoo 05-12-2007, 06:10 PM Need to use leather cleaner/conditioner like Mcguires or Zymol.
jlandbl 05-12-2007, 07:27 PM Mine too. Leather conditioner helps. Who cares, the wrinkle gives it character.

Mango 05-12-2007, 09:25 PM The leather is supposed to wrinkle. My buddy with the SLK55 AMG has wrinkles in his leather.....so what?
It's not the wrinkles that matter....it's the quality of the leather. I had to replace my seat bottom already and the leather is actually quite thick.
theoneyoucantreplace 05-12-2007, 09:34 PM Did the dealer warranty your set bottom replacement, or did you pay out of pocket?

In my SRT 10 it was the same thing. Best thing is a good quality leather conditioner and use it often. The only leather that won't wrinkle is pleather:D
I guess even our rigs can't escape aging!

Understood....but since day 1? With 3 miles? That's what I hate about leather! Ok, so I'll just buy a new drivers seat when it gets really bad I guess.

Warrenty. A technician sat in my seat with a screwdriver in his pocket when I took it in for oil change, it's first one. The dealer was very apologetic and replaced it in two days.
There isen't a leather seat in existence that does not wrinkle. It's part of what leather does.

OK I get it Mango....lol.
kramsay1234 05-13-2007, 11:51 PM You can just replace that one panel when need be if it drives you crazy. No need for a new seat. After reading this I just put some leather conditioner on mine. :D
6,000 miles and it looks fine, but i tend to try not to slide across it too hard when gettting out of the truck. kinda use the steering wheel for leverage.

I'll just trade it in in 2 or 3 yrs and get a new one....that steering wheel for leverage thing is too much of a pain for me...plus I'll forget.
