Well I am finally getting to put my trailer hitch to one of its main intended uses. I picked up the new bike a couple of weeks ago - Black Kawasaki ZX6R 636, but was waiting to post until I had the 2 black beasts together. Will get myself some better pics later. The camera I used is crap and there was too much direct sunlight. Plus truck not clean.

The Versahaul Carrier fits nicely and is an easy way to haul the bike. I lost my rake in the back, but the suspension still holds well.

Nice, man.....now head for some mountains and twisties. Doesn't look like a lot of squat....looks fine. Who the Hell needs Chrysler to come out with a receiver set up huh? ZX6R is a sweet ride, enjoy it.

There is a detachable ramp on the inside that hooks on. Was so easy to put on was almost funny. Because my hitch receiver is just below the exhaust, the Versahaul doesn't sit too high from the ground. So when you hook the ramp on, the angle is shallow and I just walked it up there. Had a ratchet strap in my pocket, so reached down and hooked the one front side and it held up the bike while I secured the rest. Way easier than I thought - I was prepared for something more.

That setup must turn some heads on the road!

Nice bike, and well, you know how I feel about the Jeep. :p

Nice setup...now its time to take the truck/bike to Deals Gap, NC. I ran into to two Canadians that rode their bikes from Tronto to NC last year. I ride a Kaw too-04'zx-12r, I just might look into that carrier. Goodtimes...:)

Report in is bike carrier is very effective. And got stopped everywhere I went this weekend with people asking about it. Bad news is they weren't paying enough attention to the truck. :(

Great set up! I just got back from Keith Code's superbike school. All brand new Zx6's - great bikes. I would love to have your set up for my VFR!

Thanks. I get asked everywhere I travel about the setup. I was at a weekly club type car show on Wednesday and brought the bike on the rack with the truck and it was well received. I have since changed the ratchet straps to black after a long search to find them. As for the bike, I am happy just looking at it half the time. Love it.

I was thinking about picking up one of those trailers... does it feel secure? Link to where you got one?

I love the bike! It is about time for me to upgrade and I was thinking about the Kawasaki ZZR600.

Hey Street. Go ahead and get a ZX6. My first bike was a 2002 ZX6R and the thing is very rider friendly and they look outstanding. My '02 was green so it got a lot of attention and compliments as well. But looks aside, a great bike and since you have had the ninja you will find it a breeze to move into.

www.versahaul.com for info on the carrier. is the SPORT-RO model (RO- ramp option). Will carry up to 600 lbs and if you have the tongue capacity can tow another 3,000 lbs behind the bike.

It is stable. I did some research on kawiforums and some bike forums and found that most people simply had their "2 cents" on whether they thought it was stable, but had never used one. The guys who have them, all said good things. This thing exceeded my expectations for sure. Both from ease to load, lean it against the wall to store, and it does not make a lot of racket on the back when driving. As a matter of fact, going down the highway you wouldn't know it was there. There is enough flex in the design to take any undue stress off the carrier and bike, and there is an Anti-tilt bracket to take away unnecessary movement. I have a bunch of highway trips on mine and love the thing.

Gixxer - PM replied. And Street and I won't hold it against you that you are not a Kawi guy. The gixxer is a great bike as well.

I know you have a 250 ninja, but just didn't want you to count out the ZX6 when shopping. You would be fine on it.
