help please:

I am unable to locate the OIL Change and Reset Service Distance
function on my 2010 GC SRT8.

I know it was "easy" on the 2007 model year;
however I only have the CD and it is a early version
being my SRT8 was made August 2009.

here is info from the CD from my 2010 SRT8

Service Interval
When this feature is selected, a service interval between 2,000 miles (3 200 km) and 6,000 miles (10 000 km) in 500 miles (800 km) increments may be selected. Pressing the STEP button when in this display will select distances between 2,000 miles (3 200 km) and 6,000 miles (10 000 km) in 500 miles (800 km) increments.

Reset Service Distance (Displays Only if Service Interval was Changed)
When this feature is selected, the current accumulated service distance can be reset to the newly selected service interval. Press and release the FUNCTION SELECT button until YES (Y) or NO (N) appears.

I cannot get into the display to make these change.

thanks in advance.

fyi- DEALER is "CLUELESS" as to assist me !!!!

Turn key to on position with out turning the Jeep on and push the gas three times. Turn key off and start as normal to reset the change oil indicator.Is that what you are referring to?

That distance option isn't available in the 08 and up gc's. I've been through every menu a few times and couldn't find it. To reset the change oil notification, follow the steps above.

I was afraid that the Mileage / distance RESET option is not available
on the 2010s.

I know via Factory Owner's CD that oil change interval is "calculated" ;
this was evident due to first Oil Change at 1,750 mile because I use Remote Starter
all the time... ( its nice to be warm and cozy in the winter)

so I will just do the reset via gas pedal procedure and
record mileage. the Service Facility that works on my SRT8 provides email
reminders for service.

fyi- I am at 4211 miles - mostly City Driving.

thanks for replies.

It's based on duty cycles, engine temps being one of them. My dealer's told me if the warning doesn't go off to use the Schedule B maintenance recommendations. My first one went off at 2,500 kms (1,500 miles). I took it in after 6 months because it didn't go off again. I have "free" oil changes as part of my extended warranty anyway.

Hehe. I didn't even know I had this light. It hasn't come on yet for me. I think I have about 1900 miles so far. When should I get my first oil change if the light doesn't come on?
