I'm thinking of picking these up. My dealership is full of gearheads and they gave me a Mopar Performance printout of full specs, etc. They told me the guys in Detroit told them there is a "significant" performance increase with these heads, and they flow much higher than stock while keeping port velocity within spec.

What do you guys think? I like the fact that they will not void my warrenty. I'm just curious if they will produce enough hp. or torque to warrent the cost.

Is there a hyperlink that shows them and the pricing?

I wish there would be some #'s with those heads...because it might be almost bearable to pay if it was like a 40hp increase or so....but that would be wishfull thinking from CNC only.

Actually, thats pretty close, I would suspect. I particually like the flow #'s @ low lifts on the intake/exhaust,which should maintain velocity and keep
throttle response decent.

I wonder how these compare to the DR heads?

Hard to say, There are many heads out there now, Indy's, Hemi shop, F.R.I., DR's, etc. Head to Head(pun intended) comparison would be nice, but I't ain't gonna happen for awhile-- everything is to new!

I'm waiting for some hp#'s on the MP heads before I consider purchase. I asked the the SRT eng's & they said they haven't tested/dynoed then on a 6.1L yet(but said they do great on a 6.4L). I was reading(through a link here or oc) that the MP cam(6.1/6.4) wont work w/a stock 6.1L? Does anyone know if this is true?

Yes it's true. Lifts are big, you would need valve reliefs cut in the pistons.

I was at the parts side of my dealer today picking up some "Top Secret" Mopar parts and as I was looking thru the performance catalog I saw these.
If you read pg 4 of the Mopar Performance catalog it states "any part with a prefix of a P, if installed on a waranteed vehicle will void the warantee of the vehicle"
So even though these parts are sold by Mopar your SOL if something goes wrong.

BTW Mopar sure got some purty things in that catalog I now have at my shop.

Spoke with a few contacts today, it appears flow bench testing(side by side-same day-same bench) will begin soon with a few different head offerings Stock 6.1L- Mopar performance 6.1L-Finish First, etc. This will be done to validate, one way or the other, the #'s claimed. When I know more, I will share what I can. GC
