: Pics of the wife's SRT8 next to my RS4 (BWW)...
Fluffhead 05-10-2007, 03:28 PM We picked up the SRT8 two weeks ago and it's awesome! It's great having 420hp on each side of the garage :D I just wish I can get that kind of torque in my RS4. The SRT8 is also making me want to modify my exhaust note. Kooks already did a custom mid section for me (no resonators/x-pipe), but maybe I need to let them work on some mufflers too.

laddcruzer 05-10-2007, 08:16 PM I see you love your German cars as well as your American muscle too. I just wish we didn't have to pay almost twice as much per horsepower for the German product. Love your black beauties !!
jlandbl 05-10-2007, 08:24 PM Very nice! Is that a dealer license plate frame on the Jeep?
kramsay1234 05-10-2007, 11:03 PM WOW! I couldn't imagine a better 2 combination of vehicles. Awesome Audi and of course the Jeep goes without saying.
I would really love if you took more pics of the two of them together, maybe nose to nose on a bit of an angle. I would make them my background in a minute. Please post if you get a chance to snap a few more pics. :D
RS4s are beautiful
hows the reliability been? ride pretty compliant?
im trying to talk my dad into one but hes got his eyes set on an S5 right now
AlexT 05-11-2007, 04:04 AM Nice, nice, nice.

You should try the RS4, it's a completely different animal.

Fluffhead 05-11-2007, 08:38 AM Very nice! Is that a dealer license plate frame on the Jeep?
Yes it is, but it's coming off. I didn't have time to get the black frames I want to put on. I hate advertising for dealerships, they actually asked me if I wanted them to take it off the car and I told them to just leave it b/c I would be changing them soon.

Reliability is great like all of my Audi's (this is my 5th). The ride is actually better then my last S4 b/c of the DRC (Dynamic Ride Control). It's a great daily driver.
The S5 is going to be a great car, they should be here by November.
AlexT 05-11-2007, 09:12 AM Reliability is great like all of my Audi's.
It's not often that I've seen all these words in one sentence. :p

The only issue I have with Audi is their service. The cars get a bad rep b/c the service people don't know what they are doing and actually cause more problems.
2007GCSRT8 05-11-2007, 09:48 AM Who wins? I can't believe no one asked this yet!
Fluffhead 05-11-2007, 10:32 AM Who wins? I can't believe no one asked this yet!
We haven't run against each other yet. But according to the mags they are both in the same area in acceleration up to the 1/4 mile. So, I guess it would depend on the driver, but the SRT8 would be more consistent b/c it's an auto.
The RS4 will start passing the SRT8 at higher speeds though.
Road and Track:
SRT8 - 0-60 = 4.6
RS4 - 0-60 = 4.3
Car & Driver:
SRT8 -0-60 = 4.5 / 0-100 =12.0
RS4 - 0-60 = 4.6 / 0-100 = 11.1
Mango 05-11-2007, 10:40 AM I might trade my GTI and Camaro in toward an RS4, thanks to this thread. Hahahah!
I called and my local dealership has one on the lot.
GodfatherSRT8 05-11-2007, 10:41 AM Beautiful combo.

+1 for that.
Simple things require multiple visits. CD player is not tracking songs. Ok, replace CD player. Get it back, sound is horrendous. Bose amp not hooked back up, but of course customer has to point this out. 3 trys later, ok, that sounds better.
Ambient temp reads -45 degrees outside in the middle of summer (hold the Canada jokes). Hmmmm, thats not right. And car now blows heat on Auto Climate control because it thinks it winter out. 5 visits later I tell them to quit giving it back saying its fixed when its not. I demand a rental and refuse to return it until car is fixed.
But in spite of the service, was still worth it because I loved mine.

The common theme of people I know who owned Audi's is similar to what you're describing. Although many that I know seem to have eventually gotten fed up and moved on.
I think their interior styling is unbeatable, but I also think they need to put those things on a diet. :p
Alex
Inferno SRT8 05-11-2007, 05:01 PM I see you bought it from westbury, I wouldnt go there for service there the biggest bunch of morons on LI. They have no clue what there doing.

Have you heard of the lemon law? It should still apply in Cananda right? 3 times in to dealer for same thing gets you out of vehicle, no strings.

Not 100% sure on how it works in Canada. For me though, just wanted my car back. I will do some researching for curiousity sake though. These were things that happened over the 3 years I owned mine.
Oh yeh....Forgot to mention. Go in for oil change. Get car back, and someone has hit a yellow pole with my black car in their underground parking gararge on the front passenger side of my bumper. Nice.
tipsyhemi 05-17-2007, 11:31 AM is this the same fluffhead that led the COI cruise?
btw i love the OZs

The process in Canada that equates to Lemon Law in U.S. is called the Canadian Motor Vehicle Arbitration Plan
http://www.camvap.ca/eng/consumers_guide.htm
Hope I don't ever need to resort to this for my jeep.

I know in my state it's only if it happens before a certain mileage/time and I believe it has to be something substantive to the functioning of the vehicle (doubt a CD player would count).
UDLOSE 05-19-2007, 08:21 PM Hey how fast is that RS4?I saw one the other day around williamsburg..
SCSRT8Fan 06-27-2007, 10:38 AM Great combo. Now supercharge both. ;)
