Locally, ours went up from 2.95 to 3.20 in the last day for the CHEAP ethanol stuff. Right now, 91 octane is roughly 3.40 a gallon.
This in the Midwest. Is anyone else seeing this sudden hike?

I just paid $3.08 tonight in New Hampshire. (93 grade Mobil) Filled my Truck 2 days ago with regular.$76.00 (Big Tank)
Have you seen the e-mail about not purchasing gas on the 15th of May.I forget what the stats were but it amounts to if nobody buys gas that day it will mess up the oil producers so badly that they will have to reduce prices just to dump the excess gas.Git er don.

The only thing it will do is create a bigger demand for gas on the following day or the day before. Not to metion that the gas stations will be the ones that suffer not the big oil companies, due to the gas stations prepaying for the gas.
