: please srt team Do not let us down
black_srt_8 05-27-2010, 06:24 AM hi srt team
so now all super suv's are available in the market
like the Porsche cayenne turbo , the x5m , x6m and lately the Mercedes ml 5.5 ltr twin turbo
so we would like the jeep srt8 to beat them or at least compete with them
BTW all these suvs are forced induction engines and only the jeep with a
naturally aspirated engine :D
we have a better chance to add a turbo or s/c
thanks
rwboring 05-27-2010, 06:51 AM or a 7L :) stick with the NA power... you can always put FI to it in the aftermarket :)

now we r talking :D
QuickOne 05-27-2010, 09:18 AM MAKE US PROUD SRT! Make us proud!
rwboring 05-27-2010, 09:44 AM even better... ALL aluminum 7L with a 6 or 7 speed auto (or I GUESS a 6-speed manual would be OK also...) :)
rconner 05-27-2010, 02:52 PM 7 speed SMG with paddle shifters..
eddiefig 05-27-2010, 02:55 PM Manual would be nice but it would take away from the superior launch advantage that we have now.
KidItsRandall 05-27-2010, 03:20 PM I like the paddle shifting idea..........
If we dont get some of this stuff we might develop a studder...
Pa Pa Pa Pwease dont do this to us SRT
Joe C 05-27-2010, 03:47 PM Paddle shifters would definitely be nice. I doubt I'd buy a 6 speed Jeep honestly. I agree with rwboring, too. NA is the way to go.

Dont get me wrong, I love my SRT. However, I think the SRT team hasn't let us down. Look at the price points of said vehicles compared to ours. Invest that difference into the Jeep and you will have a twin turbo killing machine and still get gas for the trip home.

Chris Hull@TTC 05-27-2010, 05:55 PM I have a feeling that there will be another 100 crank hp na
in our future!!
pjs1965 05-27-2010, 07:01 PM I have a feeling that there will be another 100 crank hp na in our future!!

100% totally agree
6.4L (392) hemi 505 hp, 510 tq- if that's what the challengers and chargers are getting it's almost a lock??
Joe Las Vegas 05-28-2010, 12:35 AM 6 speed DSG (about time the U.S. catches up:rolleyes:)
R&F LSD's with torque transferring, like the SHAWD Subarus (one more things we need to learn from and make)
And instead of going bigger, as if oil was gonna be in supply forever, why not supercharge? about time when we 15+ mpg city and 20+ hwy.
tomsws6 05-28-2010, 08:49 AM or a 7L :) stick with the NA power... you can always put FI to it in the aftermarket :)
Doesnt toyota offer a SC as a dealer option to its trucks??? Heres what I say. Make your 500+ n/a and make a SC a option that can be put on by the dealer...;)
teekay1 05-28-2010, 10:20 AM and 22s!!!!!!!!!!! :)
Muay Thai Striker 05-28-2010, 10:26 AM Out of curiosity, are there actual SRT Engineers & staff that are members of the forum?
rwboring 05-28-2010, 10:46 AM and 22s!!!!!!!!!!! :)
The call me Emmitt cuz I only ride twenty two's
Emmitt Smith numba twenty two get it dude
teekay1 05-28-2010, 10:47 AM lol yes dude got it the first time~!!!! 22s made her choose me!
pjs1965 05-28-2010, 01:12 PM I have faith the SRT Engineers won't let us down. Executive Mgmt is a totally different story -- those are the folks who 'green light' the vehicle for production. I have little if any faith they will make it for us until it's actually announced.
One thing I would LOVE to see is the intake on the same side as the LX/LC platforms!! This will allow us to 're-use' much of the same aftermarket parts (like CAIs, S/Cs).

Well, they have a forum name created for when there is a SRT chat session. But last year in Ohio during a night of in person chats. A few of them admitted to surfing numerous SRT forums quite frequently to "keep up with the times" and "watch what people are doiing".
pjs1965 05-28-2010, 01:55 PM It's been a LONG time since the last chat session on any of the sites..... They must be busy building new models ;)

black_srt_8 06-02-2010, 02:48 PM yes and one thing srt team
we don't want that silly antenna on the top of the roof like the other gc
thanks
D VADER 06-03-2010, 05:50 AM Manual would be nice but it would take away from the superior launch advantage that we have now.
I agree with Eddie..the launch of the STR8 is amazing!! I think some of the simple mods many of us are doing would stiffle the competion.(CAI, CC, Tune)
