Got to the track, plugged in my hour old Trinity, and nothing. Completely dead! Meaning no logging, and no tune changing. And I definitely wanted to change my tune. Got spanked by a Civic on the way to the track. Couldn't even pull him on top end. Not saying it would've been different results with one of the other tunes loaded, but my gut feeling from driving with this one the past few days is it isn't as strong. Sure didn't want to blow $30 for a bunch of slow runs, so I headed home. At least I hadn't paid the entry fee yet...

Got home and called DS and stayed on hold for an hour. They had already closed, but the message kept saying someone would answer. Their hours and support are for east coasters only. Everyone else can go f**k themselves.

I plugged in my Predator and it fired right up. So it's not a fuse or the ODB-2 port. Hooked up the Trinity to the PC and it fired up. So it's either the crappy malformed cable they supply, or the connector in the unit. I'm not gonna bother finding out. I'm either getting a complete replacement or my money back. For $600 I expect better quality. The ODB plug doesn't even fit the Jeep, and the connection at the unit seemed poorly made from the first time I tried plugging it in.

So now I've lost a week's racing and have to deal with customer service. Assuming I can ever contact anyone there. I tried that once before with the same results. DS support sucks IMO!

Not a happy camper right now!

Wink get with Johan "Diablotoona" Im sure he can help you out, in the meantime why not load up those tunes to your Predator and enjoy the tunes at least.

Thanks guys! I'm more frustrated than anything and had to vent. Sh$t happens right? My biggest gripe is I couldn't get hold of DS to see if I could just load up the tunes in the Predator as if the Trinity never existed. Head back to the track, and have some fun. It's my weekly stress release. ;) I didn't want to just experiment and turn my buggy into an actual 5k brick. By the time I decided their phone system sucks, and no one was gonna answer, it was too late. You have to get there early if you want to make a lot of runs. I planned to do my CMR Track Shootout and get some logs. Next week I maybe...

I still think it's a disservice to close support so early. The guys on the west coast must really be feeling unloved. I guess I could've emailed Johan, but it's not really his problem to deal with. He didn't sell it to me. Maryland Speed did. We'll see how they treat me later. I'm definitely not gonna wait for repairs. It only worked for about an hour, maybe. I want a new one or my money back. My Predator has never given me any problems...

Cool on the pulley. I want to see what kind of improvement it makes. One of the other things I've been considering. That and air bags for the rear.

Diablo got my Predator back in action, but I have to wait maybe 2 weeks to get my Trinity back. Still not happy about that. They were aware of the problem, but left them in distribution and are still selling them... :mad:

I might be interested, but not ready to commit just yet. I really want to see what gains Travis sees as we were pretty evenly matched last time out. So if you get an offer go ahead and jump on it.
