Arggghhhh!!

I've been so careful with my Jeep parking, drivin, etc... And bam I lose concentration for 10 sec. and scuffed up my front passenger rim.. I'm sooo pissed at myself... It's not too bad.. but still.. Any good, easy, inexpensive ways to fix it...

Thanks,
T-Time

get yourself a cordless craftsmen hand rotary tool. Worked great on the scuffs that the dealer gave me

Sorry to hear that. That's a bummer. Know this.... if you feel it in your stomach... that icky pain? If that feeling is there, you'll never do this again.

I put my SRT wheels on the wife's commander, and she curbed the right rear at the shopping mall. She felt bad enough for both of us :)

Front and rear wheels got hit by cement building block that fell off a truck driving next to me. Knocked some large chunks out of the wheels. Took it to a wheel repair shop and the wheels look as good as new. No sign they were ever worked on. Repair bill $280, $140 each wheel.

Anyone know a good / reputable wheel place in (central or northern) NJ that could do this? would like to fix up the stockers in case I decide to sell 'em (or keep 'em!) thanks for any assistance

Sorry for your mishap....:( I hit an unavoidable pothole a couple of years and damaged one of my Blitz custom wheels on my car at the time. Sent it off and had all of them refinished at the same time....total cost was $600.00

Not too bad since 17" in the Blitz line were around $600.00 each seven years ago.

There's a place in NE Pa. that said he would do it for around 250 - 300 if not too banged up. I bid on a new rear rim on ebay, ended up paying $610 for inbox brand new factory rim, but I can't handle the job I did...It looked like I was drunk and kept hitting the dang curb, 3-4 places smacked on my rim, still has yellow paint on it. If you're close, send me a message and I'll try to find the post on here with the info. another member gave me.

I checked and that place is about 80mi from my home (20 - 30min tops, no?:D ). This may be my best bet, but hopefully somebody in the area knows a closer shop. . . . . . ?

Yeah, the first time I backed up using the mirrors angled down, I curbed a wheel. I was so pissed about it. :(

I did the same exact thing at 2 mph on the front right. It wasn't too bad. I took some masking tape to protect the un-rashed areas and took some sandpaper starting at 150 and ending with 600. You can't tell from a few feet away.

I know this has been asked and unanswered a few times, but did anyone get the wheel and tire extended warranty package and if so did it cover your curbing incidents? My dealer swears that all you have to do is say that you ran over a pot hole rather than up against the curb and it's full covered. Would be a sweet deal if the reality is anything like what the dealer promises....but there again isn't that always the case!

Damn, you guys are making my stomach turn. Stop it.

my girl got the front passanger the first time behind the wheel. A nice $1250 mistake. She has never asked to drive it again. Although I would probably let her.
