Whats the fastest (in MPH while rolling) you have ever downshifted to 1st using Autostick?
Also state your model year.

Thanks.

2008... and you need to be going slow because it hits harder then the rest... max speed in first is about 35ish mph... i dont typically do it over 25 and that is about 4k rpm... if i do it at all... hitting 3rd and 2nd dont jerk nearly as hard...

I'm afraid to even post this . . .
There's a great right hand double-apex sweeper that if you hit it right, you can do at a 'fast' clip and feel like you're on rails ;) To do this, you have to start at about 4500 - 5000 RPM in 4th -> brake hard, tap to 3 for the first section while trail braking into the off ramp then tap to 2 setting and gentle power on through the second apex into the on ramp to the adjoining parkway.

I've found that when braking hard (-.40 to -.55 on the G-meter) to setup for a turn, you can downshift easily -1 then -1 again without coming close to redlining because your speed decrease is so great.

I've stopped being that aggressive since . . . almost stopped.

Mine will not go into first if I am going too fast. It will let me downshift but not into first. 06

Mine shifts into 1st at 40mph, it gets squirly in the wet, u can feel it slide out and the tires chattering for traction. It's a great way to shut the yapping passenger up!

Shifts into first at 40??? What rpms are you turning when you're in first at that speed?? And more importantly, where can I get some of that LOLOL. I can only imagine what that must feel like ;)

Without a doubt it's knocking on the door of redline, but yes it can, yes it does. I love how people wanna say "can't". I'm sure it is hard on it, I didn't buy this thing to baby, I wanted a perfomance vehicle, I don't mind driving it like one.

Hahahaha! My wife holds onto the door like she's going to fall out, my mom starts grabbing for the dashboard and holds her purse close to her as if it was a parachute.

Involuntarily at 80mph. Ruined the pinion bearing.

How the hell did that happen involuntarily? Lol. And at 80 MPH you must smacked your mouth on the steering wheel. Lol.

Voluntarily???

Yeppers,
I'm playing mix and match TCM's right now, and with the EGS 53 system (2007 and above) it wouldn't downshift into first much above 25-30 MPH. Right now I'm running a NGC3 PCM (2006) with EGS53 TCM (2007)and I can downshift to 1st way beyond 40 MPH but as others have said it runs the engine right up almost to redline. And the auto stick shift is instantaneous.

Involuntarily at 80mph. Ruined the pinion bearing.

Wow that sounds like you got real lucky. Did you stick it?

It just sounds pissed off and angry when it hits redline in first on the downshift, almost like my Castilean Spanish ex-wife. What was the name of that song, Crazy B!tch?! Actually someone has a quote on here "the beast now sounds like a gorilla who escaped and is looking to rape something", that sums it up pretty well!
