ernster 05-09-2007, 08:02 AM Ron nice meeting you the other day. The jeep looks great. Count me in on those headlight covers (Steel Blue) just let me know when they are ready and I will come by and pick them up and give you the cash. Also I wanted to ask you about the paint for the Rims??? Can you give me a little in Steel Blue so I can do that to the SRT in the Rim like you did yours in RED. Let me know.
Stay in touch we can make both of our jeeps look the best in the neighborhood

It looks too sweeet. You may need to add A big bug shield to tone it down. jk. :D
I'm game for the headlight covers as well.
Rick G 05-09-2007, 04:52 PM What color was it before you painted it Red Rock?

Rick G 05-09-2007, 05:31 PM he didn't paint it red rock...
Sure looks like it. Why repaint it a color so close to what you can buy? I would have gone with a nice bright Blue or Charcoal gray metallic.;)

1) Because he can
2) It's his GC
3) Owns a body shop
4) Makes other GC owners wonder why they couldn't get Inferno Red in 2007
5) Inferno Red actually looks a lot better in person than Red Rock ......pics don't do it justice.
6) Custom, custom, custom.......

agreed, agreed, agreed, etc.
MatFab 05-09-2007, 06:40 PM Blaze Red Crystal code PRH the actual color he painted it... neither the 06 or 07 color....
agreed, agreed, agreed, etc.
Ditto on the agreed, agreed, agreed. Some will get it, some will not. The ability to do it is only part of it. I think some who wonder, should read all the threads regarding this project before they comment.
It is impossible to really grasp how the paint must really pop without standing right next to it, seeing the amount of flake etc., and realizing the amount of prep and base work that went into it. Mirror work, headlight covers, washer relocate, hood/grille work, side gills, it all adds up to a nice package. I wonder how he worked out the hood latch?
Oh, yeah, I'm not telling, but it is not Red Rock, and it isn't Inferno Red either. Like I said....read the posts.:D
Edit
(Whooops, MatFab just slid in here and gave the answer.....good job)
slow91 05-09-2007, 06:45 PM Blaze Red Crystal code PRH the actual color he painted it... neither the 06 or 07 color....

Rick G 05-09-2007, 07:18 PM Inferno Red actually looks a lot better in person than Red Rock ......pics don't do it justice.
Ya right, the total opposite is true. Inferno is just eehhh.........Red Rock is WOW. The Inferno guys keep saying there color is better to make themselves feel better but they know the Red Rock Rules. :p
Now go do your avatar justice and enlarge it for me please.
Mango 05-09-2007, 07:19 PM Absolutley gorgeous Ron!! It's great to see a bodyshop owner taking such pride in his work. :) :)

kramsay1234 05-10-2007, 11:33 AM Great clean job. And very classy but custom. Where you able to retain the factory orange peel? This is very important to resale value and originality.
scottiekay 05-11-2007, 08:22 AM Unreal paint work... I have the Inferno Red also, but it dosent shine like that at all. Well done.
Rick G 05-11-2007, 06:41 PM Its not Inferno..........its Red Rock. :p
Inferno SRT8 05-11-2007, 06:44 PM Ron let me know when your around ide like to get together and check your ride out. Im in Queens also.
